🚧 Notice to Residents – Calcium Application Program 🚧

The Township of Amaranth Public Works Department will begin its annual calcium application program on June 8, with work expected to continue through to mid-July (weather permitting).
We know dust can sometimes feel like part of everyday life on our gravel roads, calcium helps keep it under control and improves driving conditions for everyone.
During application, residents may experience minor delays and are reminded to use caution when traveling through active work zones.
Please slow down and follow all posted signage and instructions from crews.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete this important maintenance work.

Calling Market Vendors

We are seeking local farmers, crafters, artisans, business owners and more to take part in an outdoor Community Market being held at the Amaranth Municipal Park.

Tentative Dates: June 10th, July 8th and August 12th, 2026
Wednesday Evening from 6-8pm *Soccer Nights*
Community BBQ to be held August 12th starting at 5pm
* Date will be cancelled in the event of rain.

Registration deadline is June 3rd, 2026
There is no registration fee but registration is required.
All prepared foods must be made in a health inspected kitchen. (Unless otherwise noted) No food preparation permitted on site. (Food trucks, cooking stations etc.)
All vendors must have their own liability insurance and provide the certificate prior to the first market. Insurance is available for purchase through the Township.

The Victoria Day holiday is THIS weekend! Here's what you need to know for waste collection NEXT week:

There will be NO waste collection on Monday, May 18th.
Place all garbage, blue carts & green bins out for collection ONE DAY LATER.
Double Up by placing up TWO un-tagged bags of garbage at the curb next week.

For missed residential recycling collections, call 1-877-426-4351. For all other missed collections, call GFL at 1-888-941-3345 ext. 1
