Hello, Wonderful People of Alliance!

My name is Sandeep, and I'm excited to introduce myself as the new owner of Buchanan Groceries and Buchanan Liquor.

I'm from the Edmonton area, and I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to become part of the wonderful Alliance community. Thank you for making me feel so welcome.

Our stores are now open! For the next few days, our temporary business hours will be:

11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

As we complete the final setup and bring in more products, we'll gradually extend our hours and move to our regular business schedule. We will also continue adding more grocery items, liquor selections, and other products to better serve the community.

Thank you for your patience, kindness, and support. I look forward to meeting all of you and serving the Alliance community for many years to come.

Just a friendly reminder! 📬 Today is the last day to pick up your utility bill at the Village Office before 3:00 p.m., or to let us know if you’d like us to hold it for next week.

After 3:00 p.m., all remaining bills will be taken to the Galahad Canada Post for pickup. 💛

📬 Utility Bill Pick-Up Update

With Alliance Canada Post currently closed, utility bills will be available for pick-up at the Village Office:

Wednesday, September 2: Noon–3:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 3: 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Any bills not picked up or requested to be held will be brought to the Galahad Post Office after 3:00 p.m. Thursday.

If you’d like us to hold yours, please call, email, or send us a private Facebook message. Please don’t request a hold in the comments because Facebook algorithms may hind it. 💌

Road Construction will commence on Tuesday, September 1 along 3rd Avenue. Please ensure vehicles are not parked along 3rd avenue and there may be disruptions to access of driveways during this time.

It is with shock and disappointment that we have to share this information. The Village was not notified of this change prior to the posters being placed at the Post office. Once we hear anything further, we will be sure to share the information.
