Hoot-vivor is underway! Grades 7 and 8 students are reading the book “Hoot” by Carl Hiaasen and competing in activities tied to the themes in the book. Students have to showcase a mixture of athleticism, resourcefulness, and memory. The competition concludes next Friday. Good luck Gaels!

Congratulations to recent GDHS Graduates Grayson Lobb, Philippe Gareau, Royale De Souza, current GDHS Gr. 12 student Andrew Wiltshire, and their good friend Maddie Reijmers. Their band, The Panoramic, won The Youth of the Year Award at the North Glengarry Evening of Celebration. This is further evidence that the arts are thriving at GDHS and across Glengarry.

We’re excited to welcome our new Gaels to GDHS! As part of helping our incoming Grade 7, New to Gr. 8 and Grade 9 students transition smoothly into the new school year, we’ll be hosting a Welcome Day.

Date: Wednesday, August 26
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Location: GDHS – Main Entrance

Students will take part in fun and engaging activities designed to help them feel confident and connected as they begin the year.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up:
Please drop off your child at the front of the school (near the main entrance) at 10:00 a.m.
Pick-up will be at the same location at 12:00 p.m.

A pizza lunch will be provided for all participants.

We look forward to meeting our newest Gaels and helping them get off to a great start!
