🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ TRACK & FIELD RECAP: SURVIVED AND THRIVED 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

This week, students from Glengarry District Intermediate School took over Russell High School for a full day of track and field action.

There were lightning-fast sprints, impressive jumps, powerful throws, and enough walking between events to convince some students they had accidentally signed up for a marathon. Water bottles were misplaced, found, misplaced again, and somehow made it home.

Our athletes represented GDIS with determination, sportsmanship, and plenty of school spirit. Personal bests were achieved, and countless teammates were cheered on from the sidelines.

🏅👏 Congratulations to all our athletes and thank you to the staff, volunteers, and organizers who helped make the day a success!

⚽️ Varsity Girls OFSAA Soccer Day 1 Update ⚽️

Congratulations to our Girls Soccer Team on a fantastic start to their OFSAA journey!

The girls competed in their first two games today and earned impressive victories in both matches, winning 2–0 in their opening game and 2–1 in their second game.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the individuals, families, businesses, and community members who have supported the team through their generous donations. Your contributions have helped make this opportunity possible, and we are truly grateful for your continued encouragement and support.

If you would like to help support our Girls Soccer Team as they continue their OFSAA experience, donations are still being accepted. Please contact the school at 613-525-1066 or stop by the school office to make a contribution.

The team is back in action tomorrow with games scheduled for 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. We wish them continued success as they represent our school and community at OFSAA!

Thank you again for supporting our athletes. We appreciate your generosity and are proud to have such a supportive community behind us.
