The City supports events recognizing National Indigenous Peoples Day through funding and collaboration with not-for-profit groups leading the planning and delivery of events.

We’re proud to support a collection of workshops at Inspire this June 21 in celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day.

🟣 Fish scale art workshop
🟢 Inspire Multi-purpose Room E from 1 to 2 p.m. and 2 to 3 p.m.

🟣 Tufting workshop
🟢 Inspire Multi-purpose Room F from 3 to 5 p.m.

Inspire is helping bring hundreds of thousands of visits to downtown Airdrie.

Since relocating to Inspire in October 2025, Airdrie Public Library has seen a dramatic increase in use, recording a total of 398,009 visits in 2025, a 79 per cent increase from 2024, according to its recently released Report to the Community. They also welcomed more than 42,000 program attendees and loaned more than 827,000 items.

Inspire is also home to City-led programming, attracting residents for visual arts classes, free performance opportunities and meeting spaces available for community booking. Together, the library and City programming are creating more opportunities for people to gather, participate and experience downtown in new ways.

As a downtown anchor, Inspire brings people together to learn, connect and explore. Every visit means more people walking downtown streets, meeting friends, attending events, grabbing a coffee or discovering local businesses.

A vibrant city centre depends on people being there and Inspire is helping make downtown a place where people want to spend time.
