🌊 Celebrating World Oceans Day! 🌊

Yesterday, students from Primary to Grade 12 had the opportunity to join Caleb Grant from the Cliffs of Funday UNESCO Geopark to celebrate World Oceans Day, which took place on June 8.

Students visited Cape Chignecto Provincial Park and worked together to help clean the beach, collecting litter and learning about the importance of protecting our coastal environments.

This hands-on experience was a great way for students to give back to their community, develop environmental stewardship, and recognize the role each of us plays in keeping our oceans and shorelines healthy.

A big thank you to Caleb Grant and everyone who helped make this meaningful learning opportunity possible!

πŸš¨πŸš“ A Special Visit from the RCMP! πŸš“πŸš¨
We had some very special guests at the school today! Officers from the RCMP dropped by to deliver two excellent presentations tailored for our students.

Our Primary to Grade 6 crew had an absolute blast during their interactive session! They learned all about the role of a police officer, community safety, and even got a firsthand look at some of the cool gear. Our Grade 7-12 students also gathered for their own tailored session with the officers.
Check out some of the P-6 action from today's visit below! πŸ‘‡πŸ“Έ

A massive thank you to the RCMP for taking the time to speak with all of our students, answer their great questions, and build such wonderful connections in our school community!

🌲πŸ₯Ύ ADS All-Seasons Trailblazers Wrap-Up! πŸ₯ΎπŸŒ²

This past Monday marked our very last session of the ADS All-Seasons Trailblazers program for the school year! Our students have had such an incredible time exploring, learning, and conquering the outdoors in every kind of weather.

An adventure like this takes a village, and we want to extend a massive thank you to the partners who made this after-school program possible this year:

🚌 The Late Bus Program – Thank you for ensuring our trailblazers always had a safe ride home after a busy afternoon of exploring.
πŸ₯‡ Sport Nova Scotia – Thank you for your incredible support in keeping our students active and engaged.
🍁 The Public Health Agency of Canada – Thank you for investing in the health, wellness, and outdoor education of our youth.
We are so grateful for your support in creating such a memorable, active year for our students. Happy trails, everyone! πŸ‘‹πŸŽ’
