It’s always our privilege to serve our local community. One of the ways we do that is by showing up in the event of an emergency to support local first responders and those affected.

On Sunday morning at approximately 6:50AM, we showed up to feed 25 firefighters from as they responded to a structure fire on Best Ave.

Thank you to all our first responders who do such an amazing job keeping our communities safe.

Thank you to for your generosity. They are a youth-led initiative founded by the Parmar sisters in 2020 during the first winter of the pandemic. Based in Abbotsford and Chilliwack, they support unhoused individuals by assembling care packages filled with essential items. Each winter, they deliver packages to local shelters, including the The Salvation Army Centre of Hope - Abbotsford, to help people stay safe and warm during the cold months.

Over the past five years, they have raised $9,821 and distributed over 600 care packages across the Fraser Valley. Through social media, we bring the community together, raising awareness about homelessness and inspiring collective action.

Passion + resilience = caring community partners Aggressive Auto Towing - despite the flooding and having to cancel the annual Tow Truck Toy Run - they still pushed forward and collected a huge number of toys and some financial support. We are so grateful to Matia, Jasmin, Cassandra and Aaron - pictured here with Rob Studiman-director The Salvation Army Centre of Hope - Abbotsford and their amazing team and colleagues.

Merry Christmas from all of us here at The Salvation Army!

We pray this season is blessed and joyful for you and yours as you celebrate with loved ones.

We also want to say a huge thank you for your support this season! With your generosity, as of last night, we have officially surpassed our 2025 Kettle goal of $175,000! This is more than a 10% increase on last years total, and almost a 50% increase on 2023.

Your generosity means we can help more people break the cycles of addiction and homelessness in 2026. It means warm beds out of the cold, nutritious meals to hungry bellies, and treatment, dignity and respect for those struggling in our community.

Thank you Abbotsford & Mission!

We’ve tagged a few of the folks who helped make this happen! But there are so many more. Everyone who showed up to make Angel Tree a success despite the floods. Everyone who donated, volunteered, shared, and encouraged! We couldn’t be more grateful this Christmas.
