The staff at Toor’s Daycare Center would like to welcome families to our licensed multi-age childcare facility. We are equipped to care for children from the tender age of newborn all the way up to the age of 12. Our center will never exceed eight children at one time which helps keep this family setting a comfortable yet stimulating one and allows us to spend more time with every child. Our cente
r meets all of the licensing requirements as per the Community Care and Assisted Living Act and the Provincial Child Care Regulations. Our program provides the children in our care the skills that will support their future development.
Toor’s Childcare Center believes every child has a right to be cared for in a supportive and nurturing environment. All children are unique individuals with varying strengths and differences, and are to be treated with dignity and respect. We feel that a child’s avenue to learning important life skills is through play. Therefore, we provide a preschool-like program which is filled with open-ended and age appropriate activities. We include science, center play, outdoor fun, art time, and circle time. Our center strives to foster the “holistic” growth of a child’s social, physical, emotional, and cognitive development. In an inclusive environment we facilitate opportunities for the children to problem solve, decision make, and become self-sufficient. We want to also nurture skills of empathy, cooperation, and self-esteem. All of our staff members are Early Childhood Educators that are working together with families to create a warm atmosphere which gives a sense of belonging for all and nurtures each child’s unique needs.
