Masingwaneng School Visit
On Monday, 14th September, I visited Sechele, Mambo and Masingwaneng Primary Schools in Tati West. We appreciated the teachers and support staff for their dedicated service despite challenging working and living conditions. We acknowledged their concerns and shared practical solutions to improve our schools.

North-East District Council will hold its Full Council Session from 𝟭𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝟮𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗮𝘁 𝟬𝟵𝟬𝟬𝗵𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗥𝗔𝗖 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿.

The session will be addressed by 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗠𝗯𝗮𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗶 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁, 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻, and will provide an opportunity for Council to deliberate on key issues affecting the development and service delivery of the North-East District.

Today, 12 September 2026, we laid to rest Cde Gaabadzo Kealotswe, a teacher at Letsholathebe Primary School from Gambule village.
Education has lost a dedicated servant. Rest in peace, Cde🙏🙏 .

Today 11 September 2026, we joined residents of Gulubane Village to discuss rural industrialisation at a meeting addressed by the Assistant Minister of Local Government and Traditional Affairs, Hon. Ignatius Moswaane.
We highlighted the need for access to land to unlock economic opportunities in the village and across Tati West Constituency in agriculture, mining, etc.
We also discussed economic empowerment as Botswana diversifies beyond diamonds.
The visit to the Gulubane clinic also proved that there was a marked improvement in medical supplies. The newly extended Gulubane clinic will be ready by October this year.

Hon Moswaane Adresses Moroka Village.
On 10 September 2026, we joined residents of Moroka Village to discuss rural industrialisation at a meeting addressed by the Assistant Minister of Local Government and Traditional Affairs, Hon. Ignatius Moswaane.
We highlighted the need for access to land and the vast BETP opportunities across NEDC, Tati West in agriculture and its value chains, tourism, renewable energy, manufacturing and mining.
We also visited a successful NEDC-sponsored brick-making project benefiting more than 10 residents—a practical example of job creation and economic empowerment as Botswana diversifies beyond diamonds.
The visit to the Moroka clinic also proved that there was a marked improvement in availability of medical supplies.
