The Letlhakeng District's dental outreach clinic is a crucial public health project that aims to provide rural and underprivileged residents of the district with basic oral healthcare treatments. Because the project will lessen the load on patients by making the service more accessible, the district decided it was appropriate to arrange for a Dental Outreach service from a team from Scottish Livingstone Hospital.

132 dental patients were handled by the Scottish Livingstone Hospital team from Letlhakeng Clinic between August 10 and 14, 2026.

The public is urged to attend the next Dental Outreach services in large numbers when they are offered in Takatokwane on dates to be announced.

𝐈𝐧𝐒𝐭𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐒𝐯𝐞 (ππ”πŒπŒπ‡πˆ) 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐑𝐒𝐩
BUMMHI (the Botswana-University of Maryland School of Medicine Health Initiative) is a prominent, locally incorporated non-governmental organisation (NGO) in Botswana dedicated to combating HIV, tuberculosis (TB), Family planning and sexual and reproductive health, Gender Based Violence response and associated infectious and non-communicable diseases.

As the initiative by BUMMHI complements the already existing primary health care services, the programme is expected to strengthen other priority interventions particularly cervical cancer services as well as Safe Male Circumstances.

Services rendered by BUMMHI in the district will be available up to December 2027 and the public is encouraged to actively utilise the health services provided by BUMMHI because these programs bring free, high-quality, and integrated medical care directly to local public clinics.
