The nationwide Oral Polio Vaccination Campaign using the novel oral polio vaccine type 2(nOPV2) will target all children aged 0–59 months and will be implemented in two phases:

• First round: 5th to 8th May 2026
• Second round: 8th to 11th June 2026

𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗦𝗠 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗬
World Autism Day is a United Nations recognised day observed every year on the 2nd of April. It was established in 2007 to highlight the need to improve the quality of life of those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

In 2026 the global focus shifted from “Awareness” to “Acceptance and Inclusion.”
The theme for year 2026 is:​
“Autism and Humanity – Every Life Has Value.”

Our theme emphasizes the inherent dignity and worth of all autistic people. It simply calls for a move beyond awareness so that we recognise the unique contributions autistic individuals make to our communities, workplaces and families.
As Boteti District, we need to shift beyond limiting narratives towards a future where neurodiversity is celebrated as an integral part of our shared human experience.

All employees and the community are encouraged to wear blue, the official Autism Awareness colour.
Let us all promote messages of kindness, patience, and inclusion to support autistic people who often face isolation due to limited awareness.
