Office of the Accountant General Brings Hope to Therisanyo Primary School
Therisanyo Primary School pupils had a memorable day as the Office of the Accountant General (OAG) donated essential items to support learners and promote a conducive learning environment.
Welcoming the delegation, the School Head, Mr. Segomotso Kejelepula, acknowledged the school's challenges but highlighted its resilience and commitment to academic excellence. He noted that despite operating in a disadvantaged community, the school achieved a 61.6% pass rate last year and continues to produce learners who progress to senior secondary and tertiary education.
Speaking at the event, the Accountant General Ms. Tebogo Tomango commended the teachers for their dedication in shaping well-rounded learners. She expressed appreciation for the opportunity to partner with Therisanyo Primary School, noting that the donation reflects the Office's commitment to supporting communities and investing in the future of Botswana's children.
The donation was officially handed over by Permanent Secretary, Dr. Tshokologo A. Kganetsano, who congratulated the school on its commendable academic performance and encouraged learners to remain focused on their education.
The donated items included: 30 student chairs,24 pairs of socks, 94 clothing items, 12 pairs of shoes and 10 packets of sanitary towels.
