BTTA PRESIDENT AMONG SELECT 10 TABLE TENNIS LEADERS IN THE WORLD CHOSEN FOR PRESTIGIOUS ITTF LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME
Botswana Table Tennis Association (BTTA) President, Kudzanani Motswagole, has reached another remarkable milestone after being selected among only 10 Member Association Presidents worldwide for the prestigious International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Presidents Leadership Programme.
The highly competitive programme brings together a select group of table tennis leaders from across the globe and is designed to strengthen leadership, governance, strategic planning and organizational development within national associations. The six-month programme will be delivered through five interconnected phases, providing participants with world-class leadership development opportunities.
Motswagole's selection is a significant achievement not only for Botswana table tennis but also for the country's sporting administration as a whole. It reflects the growing recognition of Botswana's contribution to the development of table tennis on the international stage and the progress made by BTTA under his leadership.
The latest recognition comes just weeks after Motswagole was crowned Sports Administrator of the Year at the 45th Botswana Sport Awards, an accolade that acknowledged his outstanding contribution to sport administration and the growth of table tennis in Botswana.
Under his stewardship, BTTA has continued to make significant strides both on and off the playing arena. The association has expanded grassroots development initiatives, increased international participation opportunities for athletes, strengthened governance structures and enhanced Botswana's visibility within continental and global table tennis circles.
Motswagole's growing influence in international sport administration has also been demonstrated through his election to the ITTF Africa Council in 2024, where he contributes to decisions shaping the future of table tennis across the continent.
Speaking on his selection, Motswagole expressed gratitude for the opportunity, describing it as an honour to represent Botswana among some of the world's leading table tennis administrators.
"This is a proud moment for Botswana and for BTTA. Being selected among only 10 presidents worldwide is a huge honour and an opportunity to learn, share experiences and bring back knowledge that will further strengthen our association and contribute to the growth of table tennis in Botswana," he said.
The achievement further cements Botswana's growing reputation in international sport administration and highlights the country's ability to produce leaders capable of contributing at the highest levels of global sport governance.
