Botswana Police Service cautions members of the public against giving out their banking details to fraudsters masquerading as police officers.

Members of the public are reminded that Botswana Police Service officers will never request their bank card Personal Identification Number (PIN) or any other confidential banking information.

Anyone approached by individuals claiming to be police officers and requesting such information is urged to insist on going to the nearest police station for verification.

The Commissioner of Botswana Police Service (BPS), Commissioner Dinah Marathe was among scores of congregants, among them the Acting President of the Republic of Botswana and Minister of Higher Education Honourable Prince Maele, attended a Combined Church Service at Boipuso Hall this morning (20/09/2026) in Gaborone.

As usual police officers were visible at the event to ensure public safety and security. The Church Service brought together different churches to pray for the Nation as the country gears up for the Diamond Jubilee celebration on the 30th September 2026, which will be held under the theme โ€œ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž, ๐ƒ๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒโ€
