🎨🦒 From blank walls to stories of the wild.

Our Recycling Project Coordinator and talented artist, Kenneth Bale, has completed these beautiful wildlife murals at the Mokolodi boma, bringing colour, creativity and conservation together in one space.

Each brushstroke is a reminder of the incredible biodiversity we work to protect and the power of art to inspire a deeper connection with nature.

Thank you, Kenneth, for leaving a lasting piece of Mokolodi for every visitor to enjoy. 🌿

1994 ➡️ 2026

Since opening its gates in 1994, Mokolodi Nature Reserve has welcomed thousands of children through our Education Centre, with an average of around 12000 learners attending our environmental education camps each year from across Botswana and beyond.

For many of these children, their visit to Mokolodi comes at no cost through our sponsorship programmes and education funds. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to connect with nature, learn about wildlife and be inspired to protect our environment—regardless of their circumstances.

Over the past three decades, these buildings have been filled with curiosity, laughter, discovery and unforgettable experiences that have shaped generations of young people.

🌿 No child should be left behind when it comes to environmental education.
