In a spirit of reverence, unity and spiritual devotion, the Dzongkhag Administration, in collaboration with the Choetse Rabdey and Regional Offices, observed the auspicious occasion of the Coronation Day through the offering of butter lamps at the Chenrezig Lhakhang, commemorating the historic raising of 108 stupas at GMC and the auspicious occasion of Lhabab Düchen.

The solemn observance reflected our collective gratitude, unwavering devotion and heartfelt prayers for the long life, good health and continued well being of His Majesty The King. It also embodied our shared aspirations for peace, harmony and happiness for all sentient beings.

May this auspicious occasion further strengthen our unity, deepen our spiritual commitment and inspire us to uphold the enduring values, traditions and cultural heritage of our beloved Kingdom.

The Samcholing Green Tea House was inaugurated today following major renovation funded by the Bhutan Foundation through its Revitalisation and Income Support Effort (RISE) for Samcholing Tea Community project.

The occasion was graced by Bhutan Foundation Co-Chair Lucy Goelet and Vice Chair Henry Lewis, alongside Board and Advisory Council members, the Foundation team, and representatives of the Trongsa Dzongkhag Administration.

The renovated tea house marks an important step in promoting local tea products, strengthening community enterprise, and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for the people of Samcholing.

The annual Genpoi Drupchen commenced today with the sacred performances of Sachhog and Zhagna Cham, marking the beginning of Drupchen.

The commencement of the annual Genpoi Drupchen reflects the enduring significance of Bhutan’s spiritual heritage and the continued preservation of its sacred customs and practices.

The Hon’ble Member of Parliament for Dragteng_Langthil Constituency met with the Dzongkhag Administration to discuss key development issues and public concerns affecting the communities.

The meeting, attended by Dasho Dzongda and sector heads, focused on the following key issues:

🔹 Construction of Zilichu Bailey Bridge in Korphu Gewog, including key challenges and the way forward.

🔹 Public complaints concerning the Baling and Tongtong Phey_Koshala irrigation channels, with discussions on possible solutions.

🔹 Maintenance of Ngada Farm Road, addressing disruptions caused by Ngada Tongchu and identifying necessary remedial measures.

🔹 Review of the Wengkhang Irrigation Channel Survey Report, including its findings, recommendations and the way forward.

The meeting provided an important platform for discussion and coordination between the Hon’ble Member of Parliament and the Dzongkhag Administration to address local infrastructure challenges, irrigation concerns and community needs.

Such engagements strengthen collaboration among relevant stakeholders and support efforts towards addressing public concerns and promoting sustainable development in Dzongkhag.
