From August 24 to 27, 2026, the Chief Forestry Officer, along with the Focal Person, visited field Ranges across the Division to conduct hands-on sessions on Individual Work Plan (IWP) preparation and Annual Work Plan (AWP) sensitization.
Given the vast geographical coverage of the Division, in-person gatherings don't happen as often as we would like. Visiting each Range in person provided an invaluable opportunity to engage directly with the field staff, align our target goals for the year, and address ground-level insights together.
A heartfelt thank you to all the Range officers and field staff for your active participation and dedication. Together, we look forward to achieving another year of successful forestry and conservation goals!

This is to re-notify to the general public that the Trashigang Forest Division will conduct open auction on 8.09.2026 for disposal of special class, A & B class timbers from several locations. Interested individuals, firms, and contractors, holding valid logging license are invited to participate in the open auction.

📌 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐫 𝐋𝐅𝐌𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝!
The Divisional Forest Office (DFO), Trashigang, successfully wrapped up an intensive 4-day workshop held in the conference hall for interested field staff.
The main objective of the workshop was the function mapping of the Samkhar Local Forest Management Area (LFMA), which will be revised in this financial year. Led by the Section Head of FRPMS, the session provided hands-on guidance and collaborative planning.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:
𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠: The participants gained valuable insights into the revision process and spatial mapping protocols.
𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬-𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Interactive sessions allowed field staff to contribute direct ground-level observations.
𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞: Through 4 days of dedicated effort, the team successfully produced a comprehensive draft function map for the Samkhar LFMA.

Notice of Open Auction of Timber

The Divisional Forest Office, Trashigang, is hosting an open auction for the sale of Alnus nepalensis and Betula alnoides timber located in the Wamrong Town area. The auction will be held on August 10, 2026. Eligible Bhutanese bidders are encouraged to participate. Please see the attached notification for full details and terms of reference.

This is to re-notify to the general public that the Trashigang Forest Division will be disposing seized timber on first come first serve basis from the date. The timber is currently stored at Shongphu Beat Office. Interested individuals, firms, and contractors, who are 18 years of age or older are invited to participate in the disposal of seized timber.
