On 6 March 2026, H.E. Selma Nghinamundova participated as a guest speaker at an event hosted by the Embassy of the Democratis Republic of Congo under the theme "Resilient Women, Actress of Development".

In her Statement Ambassador Nghinamundova highlighted that the conversation on women and development must shift from symbolic inclusion to measurable results. Empowerment must be defined by performance, impact and Accountability. The event was held in celebration of Women Rights' month.

On 23 March 2026, H.E. Selma Nghinamundova paid a courtesy call on Mr. Augusto Billi, the new Deputy Secretary for Trade and International Relations at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA) of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The purpose of the courtesy was to strengthen cooperation in the Agricultural Sector.

Brazil has positioned itself as a powerhouse in the Agricultural Sector and has consolidated its position as Agro-exporter in the region, with its Agricultural sector supported by strong Public Policies, Technical support, Research and Innovation.

Today, H.E. Selma Nghinamundova joined fellow Ambassadors at a briefing meeting for Ambassadors concurrently accredited to the Republic of Suriname, held by H.E. Melvin Bouva, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business and Cooperation of the Republic of Suriname, at the Embassy of Suriname in Brazil. The Minister briefed Ambassadors on Suriname's Foreign Policy, reflecting on the achievements for the past 6 months and outlining priorities on the country's agenda, for 2026.

Namibia and Suriname could collaborate in sectors such as energy, mining, agriculture and tourism to promote sustainable development and South-South cooperation.

BILATERAL COOPERATION: On Monday, 1 December 2025 the Embassy facilitated and participated in a meeting between Ms. Maureen Mbuende, Acting CEO of NAMCOR (Virtually) and Ms. Sylvia M.C. Adjos, Director of Exploration at Petrobras with a view to explore cooperation between Namibia and Brazil in the oil and gas Sector. Petrobras is a Brazilian energy company that operates in the exploration, production, refining, transportation and marketing of oil and natural gas. Founded in 1953, it is one of the largest oil companies in Brazil and one of the leading oil companies in the World.

COP30: H.E. Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia participated at the COP30 Leaders' Summit which took place from 06 to 07 November 2025 in Belém, Federative Republic of Brazil.

During the General Plenary, the President delivered Namibia's Statement on Climate, while she also participated in two Thematic Sessions: Energy Transition; and 3 - 10 years of the Paris Agreement Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and Finance.

On the margins of COP30, President Nandi-Ndaitwah had bilateral meetings with the Leaders of Finland, Venezuela and Norway, as well as with the President of Petrobras.
