“ADAM,” “EVE,” “CHRIST,” AND “MARY” AND THE REST – DENOTE THE VARIOUS ELEMENTS CONSTITUTING THE INDIVIDUAL

“The subject of her second lecture (…) was the second clause of the Creed: “And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who is conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary.”
Concerning this clause, she said that in insisting upon the esoteric signification as alone true and of value, we are but reverting to the ancient and original usage.
It is the acceptance of the Creed in its exoteric and historical sense which is really modern. For all sacred mysteries were originally regarded as spiritual, and only when they passed from the hands of properly instructed initiates into those of the ignorant and vulgar, did they become materialised and degraded to their present level.
The esoteric truth of this article of the Creed can be understood only through a previous knowledge, first, of the constitution of man, and next, of the meaning of the terms employed in the formulation of religious doctrine.
This doctrine represents perfect knowledge of human nature, and the terms in which it is expressed – “Adam,” “Eve,” “Christ,” and “Mary” and the rest – denote the various spiritual elements constituting the individual, the states through which he passes, and the goal he finally attains in the course of his spiritual evolution.
For, as St. Paul says, “these things are an allegory”; and in order to understand them it is necessary to know the facts to which they refer. Knowing these, we have no difficulty in recognising the origin of such portraiture and in applying it to oneself.
Thus “Adam” is man external and mundane merely, yet in due time developing the consciousness of “Eve” or the Soul – for the soul is always the “Woman” – and becoming a dual being consisting of matter and spirit.
As “Eve,” the Soul falls under the power of this “Adam,” and becoming impure through subjection to matter, brings forth Cain, who, as representing the lower nature, is said to cultivate the fruits of the ground.
But as “Mary,” the Soul regains her purity, being said to be virgin as regards matter, and polarising to God, becomes mother of the Christ or Man regenerate, who alone is the begotten Son of God and Saviour of the man in whom he is engendered. Wherefore Christ is both process and the result of process. Being thus, he is not “the Lord,” but “our Lord.” The Lord is Adonai, the Word, subsisting eternally in the heavens; and Christ is his counterpart in man.” [Life of Anna Kingsford, Vol. II, pp. 197-198]

Um dia antes das eleições desse famigerado segundo turno, vamos falar um pouco de forma séria e sintética.
Votar no PT significa votar no partido e seus líderes que jogaram o país na pior crise econômica da sua história.
Votar no Lula significa votar no chefe do maior esquema de corrupção da história desse país. Ou seja, no maior corrupto da história desse país.
Esses ignorantes que ficam falando mal do atual presidente devem pensar (pobre gente, se é que podem pensar de forma abrangente) quem foi que criou o pesadelo do governo do atual presidente? Seria possível o atual presidente alcançar tais níveis de popularidade, com toda a sua mediocridade e todas as suas demais limitações, se não fosse o pesadelo, bem maior, da maior crise econômica da história desse país, e do maior esquema de corrupção da história desse país? Obviamente que não!
Assim, votar no PT e no Lula significa não apenas grosseira ignorância mas igualmente evidente fragilidade de caráter.
Nem vou comentar o nível ideacional e ético do atual Supremo Tribunal porque o que se poderia esperar de pessoas em sua maioria escolhidas pelos maiores corruptos da história desse país...
Só menciono essas tristes figuras para chamar a atenção para a miséria das nossas grandes instituições, endeusadas como democráticas, quando o que temos é uma falsa democracia, uma corrupta forma de representação política, que na verdade é uma forma de plutodemagogicracia.
Ou seja, para chamar a atenção para a miséria ideacional de nossas elites, não apenas as elites políticas, mas também as elites religiosas, idólatras e portanto corruptoras das mentes, também as elites científicas dominadas pelo materialismo e portanto corruptoras das mentes, bem como todas as demais elites desse triste país e desse triste mundo.
Finalmente, passo aos ignorantes a informação que segundo as informações dos próprios (em sua maioria incompetentes, para dizer o mínimo) institutos de pesquisas amostrais, ao dividirmos a população da forma como fazem, nas classes A, B, C, D e E, segundo as rendas das famílias, o maior corrupto da história desse país apenas vence na classe E (com renda familiar de 2.000 reais ou menos), que é a maior e deve andar na casa do 50% do eleitorado, considerando o país como um todo.
Para aqueles poucos que conhecem, mesmo que superficialmente, as pesquisas sobre a abrangência conceptual da consciência política na população do cientista político academicamente mais citado no século XX, que foi Philip Converse, não é necessário escrever mais nada, sobre o que significa a candidatura do maior corrupto da nossa história.
Para nossas elites em geral, tão ideacional e portanto eticamente ignorantes e, assim sendo, corruptoras daqueles que elas deveriam guiar e proteger, recomendo a leitura de minha obra chamada "O Que Há de Errado com a Política? The Democracy of the Future and the Dream-Vision of Dom Bosco

1. Introduction

In the book What Is Wrong Woth Politics? Bases for a True Democracy, we seek to demonstrate, in short, that what we have today in Brazil and in the world in general are not legitimate forms of democracy, but forms of plutodemagogicracies. In other words, what we see are systems of political representation in which the power of those who hold large material resources (pluto) and those who deceive the population with false solutions to their problems (demagogy) largely predominate.

Now, a true democracy must be, in short, “the government of the people, by the people and for the people”. And as it is quite evident, in these systems of plutodemagogicracies, the government is of the people, by the people, but it is never aimed at meeting the needs of the people, that is, it is not a government for the people.

Likewise, in this work we seek to present the bases for a true democracy, which are: 1) freedom; 2) equal opportunities, especially in elections (choice of government main officials, and also in other great social institutions); 3) the harmony between social roles and responsibilities with human levels of consciousness and capabilities. We also outline a model for choosing representatives that we call true representative democracy, or Democracy of the Future.

Although the approach of the book makes comparisons of its explanations with the main works of the great religious traditions of the world, its approach is mainly scientific, supported by texts and research of eminent social and political scientists, such as Philip Converse, C.B. Macpherson, Maurice Duverger and Ernst F. Schumacher.

Therefore, it is natural that the question arises: – what is the relationship that can exist between these scientific foundations for a true democracy, and the presented model of representative democracy of the future, with the dream-vision of Dom Bosco? A relationship that is suggested on the plaque in front of the monument dedicated to schematically presenting the model of representation of the Democracy of the Future, next to the monument of the Fundamental Stone of Brasília.

“In an ancient land like India, where there are today so many religions, there is no need to add any teaching that can be termed new. (…)
Yet if you examine all these teachings, you will note that in the main they concentrate on the life of the individual, and not particularly on his relations to those among whom he lives. (…) With regard to all that is evil in the social conditions of the community, you are told in brief, ‘Leave all that to God.’ That has so much been the case in India for thousands of years with its several millions of Sannyasis that no attention has been pa*id by these who are supposed to be aspiring to the highest spirituality to the conditions of poverty, ignorance, degradation and exploitation that is on all sides of them. It is true that every religion inculcates charity, that is, giving gifts to the poor. But hardly ever is there any question why, in a so-called civilized community, there should be any poor at all.
Seventy-five years ago the Theosophical Society was started, with the fundamental teaching of Universal Brotherhood. In other words, until something of the ideal of Brotherhood was really applied in social life there could not be any real spiritual or even civilized community. But what do we mean by Brotherhood? (…) what, after all, does Brotherhood mean, brought down from the ideal to the practical level of daily life? (…)
For the last three years, India is free to administer for her own affairs. But what are the conditions in which we live? I need not describe them, for all of you know them well. (…) I need hardly allude to the corruption in administration throughout the land (…) You will say: what can you youth do today?
Certainly nothing very much at this moment. But it is these conditions that you must study and try to understand their causes (…) Your aspiration for spiritual realization today should be turned to understanding what is the true basis of wealth, what is a living wage, what are the eternal principles of justice.
It is when these truths have been built into the structure of the people that we shall have a real religious life, even if not a single temple, church or mosque exists in the land. (…)
It is the understanding of these problems which affect the life of the masses that should be the main study of every Youth Lodge, and not particularly to understand what the olders talk of as the “Plan of God”. The power to direct the affairs of the people will slowly pass from the elders to you. If you make the same blunders as the elders have done, you will have wasted your youth today. May our hearts be united in gratitude and reverence to all the Sacred Hearts that reached the full realization of the new and eternal Alliance of the overcoming of illusions (the Resurrection) that yesterday was celebrated, symbol and greatest moment of true Christianity (united with Buddhism) and that honors with its greatest symbol (of Christ) the Sacred Hearts of all true religions!

Ex Oriente Lux. Why the Christian Church Is Catholic? The Central Figure of the Christ Synthetizes All the Characteristics, Legends, and Symbols Appertaining to the Central Figures of Preceding Dispensations

“The Christian Faith is the direct heir of the old Roman faith. Rome was the heir of Greece, and Greece of Egypt, whence the Mosaic dispensation and Hebrew ritual sprang.

Egypt was but the focus of a light whose true fountain and centre was the Orient in general – Ex Oriente Lux. For the East, in every sense, geographically, astronomically, and spiritually, is ever the source of light.

But although originally derived from the East, the Church of our day and country is modelled immediately upon the Greco-Roman mythology, and draws thence all its rites, doctrines, ceremonies, sacraments, and festivals.

Hence the exposition to be given of Esoteric Christianity would deal more especially with the mysteries of the West, their ideas and terminology being more attractive and congenial to us than the inartistic conceptions, the unfamiliar metaphysics, the melancholy spiritualism, and the unsuggestive language of the East.

Drawing its life-blood directly from the pagan faith of the old Occidental world, Christianity more nearly resembles its immediate father and mother than its remote ancestors, and will, therefore, be better expounded by reference to Greek and Roman sources than to their Brahminical and Vedic parallels.

The Christian Church is Catholic, or it is nothing worthy the name of Church at all. For Catholic signifies universal, all-embracing: – the faith everywhere and always received. (1)

The prevalent limited view of the term is wrong and mischievous. The Christian Church was first called Catholic because she enfolded, comprehended, and made her own all the religious past of the whole world, gathering up into and around her central figure of the Christ all the characteristics, legends, and symbols hitherto appertaining to the central figures of preceding dispensations, proclaiming the unity of all human aspiration, and formulating in one grand ecumenical system the doctrines of East and West.

Thus the Catholic Church is Vedic, Buddhist, Zend, and Semitic. She is Egyptian, Hermetic, Pythagorean, and Platonic. She is Scandinavian, Mexican, and Druidic. She is Grecian and Roman. She is scientific, philosophic, and spiritual. We find in her teachings the Pantheism of the East, and the individualism of the West. She speaks the language and thinks the thoughts of all the children of men; and in her temple all the gods are shrined.

I am Vedantist, Buddhist, Hellenist, Hermetic, and Christian, because I am Catholic. For in that one word all Past, Present, and Future are enfolded. And, as St Augustine and other of the Fathers truly declared, Christianity contains nothing new but its name, having been familiar to the ancients from the beginning. And the various sects, which retain but a portion of Catholic doctrine, are but as incomplete copies of a book from which whole chapters have been torn, or representations of a drama in which some only of the characters and scenes have been retained."
