Thursday, 4 June 2026 - The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) today convened the Digital Brunei 2030 (DB2030) Dialogue Session themed “Together Towards a Digital Brunei”, bringing together leaders from government, industry, academia, and communities to discuss the practical implementation of Brunei Darussalam’snational digital agenda under WawasanBrunei 2035.
Held at Cesar Grand Hall, Level 8, The Mulia Hotel, Kampong Anggerek Desa, the dialogue session reflects a collective national effort to translate the recently published Digital Brunei 2030 plan into tangible actions and measurable outcomes that will shape the country’s digital future.
The dialogue marks a deliberate shift in focus from establishing national direction towards delivering meaningful outcomes. Building on the foundations established under the Digital Economy Masterplan 2025, including connectivity infrastructure, digital payments, and national digital identity capabilities, Digital Brunei 2030 now places greater emphasis on delivering seamless, trusted, and citizen-centric digital experiences that improve everyday interactions between people, businesses, and Government.
The event commenced with welcoming remarks by Yang Mulia Ir. Awang Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications and Secretary of the Digital Brunei Council, who emphasised the importance of continued collaboration, whole-of-nation participation, and shared responsibility in advancing Brunei Darussalam’s digital ambitions.
