Have you seen koinobori flying across Japan on Children’s Day, May 5?🎏👧🏻🧒🏻

The tradition of displaying these carp streamers dates back to the 17th century, symbolizing the wish for children to grow up strong and healthy like carp swimming upstream.

It began as a samurai custom of hanging warrior banners for newborn sons, later merging with the belief that carp bring good fortune.
