The EDB works with the government and both current and prospective investors to ensure that Bahrain’s investment climate is attractive, to communicate the key strengths, and to identify where opportunities exist for further economic growth through investment. The EDB focuses on several economic sectors that capitalise on Bahrain's competitive advantages. These sectors include financial services, manufacturing, ICT, tourism, logistics and transport. Her Excellency Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development, Chief Executive of the Bahrain EDB alongside senior officials from Bahrain EDB’s management team, today received His Excellency Simon Martin CMG, Chargé d’Affaires of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, Her Excellency highlighted the deep-rooted relationship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, underpinned by strong economic and trade ties, noting the continued momentum in bilateral cooperation across various sectors supported by the UK-GCC trade agreement.⁩⁩⁩

A delegation from the Bahrain EDB, led by H.E. Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development, Chief Executive of Bahrain EDB, has successfully concluded a strategic four-day visit to France and the Principality of Monaco. The delegation held a series of meetings and discussions with strategic partners and business leaders.

This included participation in activities surrounding Tour de France 2026, one of the world’s most prestigious annual cycling events, where the Kingdom’s pavilion provided a valuable platform to connect with a distinguished network of international investors and executives.

In the Principality of Monaco, H.E. Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif met with H.E. Mrs. Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mrs. Ludmilla Raconnat Le Goff, Chief Executive Officer of Invest Monaco; as well as key representatives from the Department of Finance and Economy.
