On 12 September 2026, the Embassy of Malaysia in the Kingdom of Bahrain hosted a
Flag Hoisting Ceremony at Rumah Malaysia. Despite the scorching heat, nothing could
hold back our unshakeable spirit as the Malaysian community gathered together under
one roof.
The celebration kicked off with the raising of our national flag to the proud singing of
Negaraku, followed by the patriotic notes of Jalur Gemilang. Adik Arif Azli then led the
recitation of the Rukun Negara pledge, before everyone joined in for an energetic
rendition of Saya Anak Malaysia!
H.E. Dato’ Shazryll Zahiran delivered an inspiring speech on staying united, embracing
shared prosperity, and carrying the spirit of Malaysia Madani wherever we go. Deeply
moved, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Malaysian community in Bahrain for
looking out for one another and opening their doors to help fellow countrymen during
recent regional conflicts.
H.E. Dato’ Shazryll Zahiran also extended his sincere thanks to the leadership and Government of Bahrain for their continuous support in elevating bilateral relations, while
warmly welcoming our MTCP Alumni as true "Friends of Malaysia".
After a sweet cake-cutting ceremony and refreshments, our Malaysian kids showed off
their creativity and love for the country in a Children’s Colouring Contest, wrapping up
with prizes for the winners and certificates for all!
Seeing everyone thoroughly enjoy themselves was a wonderful reminder that no matter how far we are from home, the spirit of Malaysia always brings us together.
