Security Alert: U.S. Embassy Bahrain delayed opening June 11, 2026.

Due to Ministry of Interior sirens the morning of June 11, 2026, the U.S. Embassy will delay its opening until 12pm today. All consular services for June 11 are canceled.

Assistance:
Dial 999 for emergency services in Bahrain.
State Department – Consular Affairs (+1-888-407-4747).
U.S. citizens in Bahrain can contact the consular section at:

Actions to take:
If you hear a loud explosion, or if sirens are activated, immediately seek cover.
If in a home or building, go to the lowest level of the structure with the fewest exterior walls, windows, and openings; close any doors and sit near an interior wall, away from any windows or openings.
If you are outdoors, immediately seek cover in a hardened structure; if that is not possible, lie down and cover your head with your hands.
Be aware that even if the incoming missile or drone is intercepted, falling debris represents a significant risk.
After the attack, stay away from any debris, and monitor major news outlets for official guidance.

On behalf of the U.S. Embassy in Manama, we wish His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the government and people of Bahrain a happy Eid Al-Adha.

In observance of Eid Al-Adha , U.S. Embassy Manama will be closed for all services from Wednesday, May 27 to Sunday 31, 2026. We will resume normal working hours on Monday, June 1, 2026.
