२०८३ भदौ १० मा नेपालको भोटेकोशी नदीबाट आएको विनाशकारी बाढीबाट भएको ठूलो मानवीय तथा भौतिक क्षति पश्चात् उद्धार, राहत, पुनर्स्थापना तथा पुनर्निर्माणका लागि मित्रराष्ट्र, अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सङ्घसंस्था, नेपाली नागरिक, गैरआवासीय नेपाली नागरिक एवम् विदेशी नागरिक लगायत शुभेच्छुकहरुबाट प्रधानमन्त्री दैवीप्रकोप राहतकोषमा आर्थिक सहयोग प्राप्त गर्ने क्रम जारी छ।विदेशबाट हुने आर्थिक सहयोगलाई थप सहज बनाउन विदेशस्थित नेपाली नियोगहरुको बैङ्क खातामा समेत सहयोग रकम जम्मा गरी नेपाल पठाउन सकिने व्यवस्था भएको छ।सोका लागि नेपाली राजदूतावासको देहाय बमोजिमको खातामा चेक/रकम ट्रान्सफर गरेर सहयोग गर्न सकिने बेहोरा सम्पूर्ण शुभेच्छुकहरुमा जानकारीका लागि अनुरोध गरिन्छ। यहाँहरुको अमूल्य सहयोगको लागि हामी आभारी हुनेछौ।

Request for support for victims of the Nepal flash floods

Following the devastating flash floods in Nepal’s Bhotekoshi River on 26 August 2026 that caused significant loss of lives and extensive damage to physical infrastructure, financial support continues to be received from friendly nations, international organizations, Nepali citizens, Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs), foreign citizens, and well-wishers for rescue, relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction efforts.

To further facilitate support from abroad, arrangements have also been made for donations to be deposited into the bank accounts of Nepali missions abroad and subsequently transferred to Nepal.

Accordingly, interested individuals and well-wishers who wish to make voluntary financial contributions in this time of need can do so by contributing to the following bank account of the Embassy of Nepal, Manama.

On 7 September 2026, the Embassy of Nepal in Manama, Bahrain, observed a candlelight vigil in memory of the victims of the catastrophic Bhote Koshi flash floods.

Earlier, on 4 September, the Embassy also organized a community gathering during which representatives from various Nepali community associations expressed their condolences and paid tribute to the victims of the devastating disaster that struck the Bhote Koshi river area in the Rasuwa district of Nepal on 26 August 2026.

Speaking at the gatherings, Ambassador Tirtha Raj Wagle extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and expressed profound gratitude to the Bahraini authorities, the diplomatic community, Bahraini friends, and the Nepali community in Bahrain for their kind words of sympathy and solidarity.

On 1 September 2026, His Excellency Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, visited the Embassy of Nepal in Juffair, Manama, to sign the book of condolence opened in tribute to the victims of the devastating flash floods that struck Nepal on 26 August 2026. H.E. the Foreign Minister extended the Kingdom of Bahrain’s heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the Government and people of Nepal and to all those affected by the catastrophic floods in Nepal. Ambassador Tirtha Raj Wagle conveyed his profound gratitude to the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain for the kind expression of sympathy and solidarity with the people of Nepal during this difficult time.

Updates on Flood Relief and Rehabilitation in Nepal

Following the sudden and devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district of Nepal on 26 August 2026, several districts, including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and Gorkha, have been affected, resulting in significant human and material losses.

The Government of Nepal has intensified search, rescue and relief operations in the affected areas. The assessment of the human and material losses is ongoing.

To support the immediate management of affected people in safe locations and their long-term rehabilitation, the Government of Nepal has established the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund and the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.

Nepalese living abroad and foreign citizens or organizations who wish to help Nepal during this time of disaster can now send relief funds directly to the Government of Nepal’s account through the web portal provided below:

उक्त बाढीका कारण रसुवा, नुवाकोट, धादिङ र गोरखालगायत जिल्लाका तटीय क्षेत्रहरु प्रभावित बनेका छन्।
बाढी गएलगत्तै सरकारले प्रभावित क्षेत्रमा उद्धार, खोज र राहतका कार्यहरुलाई तीव्रता दिएको छ।
बाढीका कारण पुगेको मानवीय तथा भौतिक क्षतिको विवरण संकलन कार्य जारी छ।
यस् विपद्बाट प्रभावितहरुलाई तत्कालै सुरक्षित स्थानमा व्यवस्थापन गर्नुपर्ने छ भने अर्कोतिर उहाँहरुलाई दीर्घकालिनरुपमा पुनःस्थार्पना गर्न उत्तिकै जरुरी छ।
त्यसका लागि प्रधानमन्त्री तथा मन्त्रिपरिषद्को कार्यालयमा रहेको प्रधानमन्त्री दैवी प्रकोप उद्धार कोष र प्रधानमन्त्री राहत कोषमा आर्थिक सहयोग गरिदिनु हुन सबैमा हार्दिक अपिल गर्दछौं। तल उल्लेखित बैंक खाताहरुमा सक्दो सहयोग गरिदिनुहुन अनुरोध छ।
