The liminal space is the threshold between two worlds, a place of transition from one side to the other. Our brand is deeply rooted in this elusive space, that moment a new chapter is about to begin but has not quite taken form yet. It creates possibility, room for in

terpretation, and the fluidity needed to grow. A timelessness that is reflected in our designs and production. LIMINAL is the second brand of handmade bags & accessories created by Silke Jacobs. While living in New York in her twenties, she first began making bags under her own name. The collection soon became a local staple in the Hudson Valley maker community. Now back in her hometown of Diest, Belgium, Silke started LIMINAL to reconnect to her creative roots and combine the two worlds she considers home. Through small batch production and practical design, waste is reduced to a minimum in our studio. The source and nature of our materials are carefully vetted to create a lasting and sustainable product.
