💭 For 3 months, 60 randomly selected Belgian citizens took part in a citizens' panel on the future of artificial intelligence in Europe.

Their work resulted in an ambitious, responsible, beneficial and inclusive vision of this technology that can guide future policies in this area.

🇪🇺 They are under 35, come from the 27 EU member states and have at least one thing in common: they all work for the European institutions in Brussels.

As part of our Presidency, the King and Queen welcomed 27 young EU public servants yesterday for a dinner at Laeken Castle. They spoke about their daily work at the European Commission, European Parliament or Council of the European Union.

🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍♂️‍➡️ A Belgian Presidency team took part in today’20km de Bruxelles / 20km door Brusselel .

The race took around 45,000 participants on a journey through Brussels’ most beautiful monuments and parks.

It is Belgium's biggest sporting event and the perfect opportunity to raise funds for charity.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Today is the the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia ( ).

🇧🇪🇪🇺 In the framework of and of the “Pride Alliances and Policy“ Conference, the Belgian Presidency proposes to the EU Member States to sign a declaration on the continued promotion of the human rights of LGBTQI+ persons.

👉🏽 The Presidency calls on Member States and the Commission to renew their commitment for a European Union where the human rights of LGBTQI+ people are fully respected, implemented and enforced.

👉🏽 Today’s conference takes place at a pivotal moment just before the end of the current mandate of the European Parliament, as well as the approaching end of office of the current European Commission’s College of Commissioners, including the first Commissioner with a specific equality portfolio.

🇧🇪🇪🇺 The Belgian Presidency, in collaboration with the Benelux Union, organises the conference "Fireworks and public safety in Europe: Pyro-pass, a pioneering Benelux tool", attended by the Belgian Minister of the Economy and Employment.

🎯 Ensuring the delivery of offshore energy to all.

🌊 This objective is at the heart of the discussions during the High-Level Offshore Energy Event taking place in Bruges over two days under the Belgian Presidency.

🇧🇪🇪🇺 Today, the event hosts the Minister of Energy Tinne Van der Straeten and European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson. The discussions will build among others upon the work conducted during last year's in Ostend, actions outlined in the Wind Power Package, and deliberations of the Informal Energy Council.

⚡️ Tomorrow, Directors-General for Energy will discuss the need for governments to provide a stable framework for the offshore wind sector. They’ll also take part in a technical visit to showcase the latest innovations in the offshore wind sector.
