Drones are transforming modern warfare. Detecting, tracking and identifying them is a growing operational priority for NATO.

But no single sensor tells the whole story...Radars, radio frequency, cameras, acoustic systems...➡️ The challenge? Bring it all together using AI solutions.

The pace of drone technology development is reshaping military operations. At Baltic Trust 26 in Latvia 🇱🇻 as part of NATO - Allied Command Transformation (ACT)'s Layered Counter-UAS Initiative (LCI-X), counter drone technologies were put to the test in a realistic operational environment, strengthening 's ability to respond to evolving threats.

On site, NCIA helped turn innovation into operational capability by integrating technologies from industry into NATO's digital environment ⚙️ Through technical integration, common standards and performance assessment, NCIA helps ensure systems can exchange information and operate together.

This week, NCIA opened its doors in The Hague 🇳🇱 to welcome 70 students from 18 NATO Nations as part of the 2026 International Cyber Security Summer School.

During the visit, students learned about NCIA's role in cybersecurity, networked with NATO cyber professionals and put their skills and knowledge to the test during a cyber crisis simulation exercise 💡

NCIA expands cybersecurity collaboration through stronger industry partnership ➡️ More than 90 industry partners from 22+ nations have been selected under the Cybersecurity Dynamic Marketplace (CSDM) framework.

The first phase, CSDM Lot 1, is a five-year mutiple award framework valued at up to 500 million euro enhancing access to specialized expertise and establishing a more agile mechanism for delivering cybersecurity capabilities in support of NATO's evolving operational requirements.

One shared operational air picture 📍 At Kallax Air Base in northern Sweden 🇸🇪 our reporter steps inside the Deployable Air Command and Control Centre and speaks with a Swedish pilot to explore how NCIA supported secure communications, resilient networks and cyber defence capabilities, enabling Allied forces to operate and defend as one during .
