The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF), following the information received from our Slovenian memebrs Gibanje za pravice Palestincev has filed a criminal complaint before the Ljubljana District Prosecutor’s Office and the Police in 🇸🇮 against Gideon Sa’ar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel and member of the Security Cabinet, for his alleged responsibility in 𝚠𝚊𝚛 𝚌𝚛𝚒𝚖𝚎𝚜, 𝚊𝚌𝚝𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝚐𝚎𝚗𝚘𝚌𝚒𝚍𝚎, and 𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚎 committed during Israel’s ongoing 𝚐𝚎𝚗𝚘𝚌𝚒𝚍𝚎 in 𝙶𝚊𝚣𝚊.

🚨The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) has filed a criminal complaint before the Ljubljana District Prosecutor’s Office and the Police in 🇸🇮 against Gideon Sa’ar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel and member of the Security Cabinet, for his alleged responsibility in 𝚠𝚊𝚛 𝚌𝚛𝚒𝚖𝚎𝚜, 𝚊𝚌𝚝𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝚐𝚎𝚗𝚘𝚌𝚒𝚍𝚎, and 𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚎 committed during Israel’s ongoing 𝚐𝚎𝚗𝚘𝚌𝚒𝚍𝚎 in 𝙶𝚊𝚣𝚊.

Sa’ar is expected to attend the opening of a new Israeli embassy in on 9 and 10 September 2026.

The complaint is based on HRF’s investigative report documenting Sa’ar’s role in formulating and publicly defending policies that led to Israel’s systematic attacks on civilians and civilian objects in 𝙶𝚊𝚣𝚊.

HRF calls on Slovenian authorities to fulfill their obligations under domestic and international law and urge the Slovenian judiciary to open a formal investigation. Gideon Sa’ar should not be able to use his diplomatic status as a shield against accountability.

We sent an urgent call to EU officials to express our outrage at the European Union’s continued failure to take concrete punitive actions against Israel. UN released a report — "Utilized, Militarized, Shielded" — documenting how settler violence is state violence: settlers are enlisted as reservists, armed with 230,000 new gun permits, organised into "Emergency Response Squads" funded by the government, and shielded by a system where 94% of investigations into settler crimes against Palestinians are closed without action.
