We were delighted to participate in the opening of the Rasmus Klump exhibition at the Comics Art Museum in Brussels 🐻⚓

From 1 April to 6 September, visitors can step into the enchanting world of Denmark’s beloved bear and explore original illustrations, stories behind his creation by Carla and Vilhelm Hansen, and modern interpretations that keep his joyful spirit alive.

A consular visit to Luxembourg! 🇱🇺

The consular team was in Luxembourg to take passport applications for Danes at the consulate. The visit was a great way to connect with the Danes living in Luxembourg. It also allowed for the consular team to spend time with dear colleagues at our consulate, who play a vital role in supporting Danes in Luxembourg.

Thank you to the consulate and to the Danes in Luxembourg for a very warm welcome!

Congratulations to Scandinavian Airline and Lux-Airport for this new SAS-route between Copenhagen and Luxembourg 🇩🇰 🇱🇺, which from 9 March 2026, will operate twice daily flights ✈️

Ambassador Susanne Shine was happy to attend the celebration of the inaugural SAS flight in Lux-Airport. More direct flights between our countries will improve accessibility for business, diplomacy, and tourism, and we look forward to welcoming even stronger links between our countries.

Danish actor Ulrich Thomsen at the Love International Film Festival of Mons 🎥✨

From 6 to 14 March, the 41st edition of the Love International Film Festival of Mons takes place in the city of Mons, celebrating cinema from around the world.

This year, the festival will pay tribute to Danish and international actor Ulrich Thomsen, who will be present at the festival on 13 March.

Why do so many Danes have flags in their gardens? 🇩🇰

This was one of the questions our Political Officer Jakob Thomsen was recently asked during an interview with 11 year old Jeanne, who visited the Danish Embassy in Brussels as part of a school project about Denmark.

Jeanne’s interest in Denmark started after she and her family went on a biking holiday, which made her more interested in learning about Danish culture and the Danish way of life. She therefore had the opportunity to ask questions during the interview, such as why Danes eat dinner so early? Why many Danes have flags in their gardens? And why there are so many bicycles in Copenhagen? 🚲

During the visit, Jeanne shared some of her stories, impressions and pictures from her trip to Denmark with us. It was great hearing about Jeanne’s trip to Denmark and we hope that she will visit Denmark again in the future!

Polarise Nordic Film Nights returns to Brussels from 4 to 15 March with powerful stories from across the Nordic region 🎬

Denmark is represented with Beginnings by Danish director Jeanette Nordahl, starring Trine Dyrholm. The film explores themes of love, tenderness and loss through a deeply human story. The screening takes place on 11 March at Cinema Galeries 🇩🇰

Greenland is also in the spotlight with a special Focus on Greenland evening on 14 March at Cinema Aventure. The documentaries Sumé – The Sound of a Revolution and Walls highlight Greenlandic culture, history and the voices of Greenlandic women 🇬🇱
