We work to bring back common sense to the EU. The ECR has 61 members from 14 EU countries in 17 different political parties.

The European Conservatives and Reformists are a centre-right political group in the European Parliament, established in 2009 under its founding principles of the Prague Declaration. These principles brought together MEPs from across the European Union who supported a vision of common sense for a reform for the whole EU. 🇪🇺 | Europe is FALLING BEHIND.

As we await the State of the Union speech here in Strasbourg, we want to highlight some relevant data.

In the last 7 years, the EU economy has grown by approximately 7%, compared with 15% for the US and 32% for China.

High energy prices are hurting Europe’s competitiveness, while our dependence on third countries, particularly China, continues to grow.

🛑 | STOP ISLAMIZATION! King Jan III Sobieski: A model for today.

On September 12, 1683, Polish King Jan III Sobieski led a Christian army to victory against the Ottoman forces at the Battle of Vienna. His victory stopped the Ottoman advance into Central Europe and helped prevent the further Islamization of our continent.

Jan III Sobieski is a key historical figure whose decisive leadership and strategic defense protected Central Europe and preserved its cultural identity.

Consequently, the of a dedicated room in his honor within the European Parliament in carries significant symbolic weight for us.

Situated at the core of European governance, his name serves as a tribute to the historical imperative of preserving this continent's heritage.

Adam Bielan is a Member of the European Parliament and Head of the Polish Delegation in the ECR Group. He is the ECR Coordinator in the Committee on Foreign Affairs and serves as Chair of the European Parliament’s Delegation for relations with Japan and as a Member of the Delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and ASEAN.

🔴 | We have secured a debate and resolution on illegal migration and pressure on Europe’s external borders at next week’s plenary session in Strasbourg!

ECR Group Co-Chairman Nicola Procaccini:

“We cannot abandon Ceuta or any other part of Europe’s external border. Illegal migration is one of the defining challenges for Europe’s future. Europe must regain control, strengthen Frontex, support frontline Member States and swiftly return those who have no right to remain. Illegal entry must never become a shortcut to legal residence.”
