The positions of buyer and sales agent tend to be overlooked by most fashion journalists, even though they are some of the most important protagonists within the fashion industry. In a saturated market, finding the right sales partner is a dream come true for most, and designers often need to change agents of showrooms in order to find the right fit.

Throughout his impressive career as a strategic consultant and dedicated sales agent, Kiyo Ishizuka has nurtured some of the most daring and influential designers in fashion, while keeping his integrity and strong work ethics intact. Fashion Month concluded on 7 October in Paris. Over four weeks, journalists and buyers discovered the new collections from the major brands in the fashion capitals. A notable fact: only one of these collections was designed by a woman, British designer Louise Trotter at Bottega Veneta.

In 2025, it is hard to believe that there are still so few female designers leading global designer brands. In Belgium, there’s a new wave of fashion talents taking over the industry which includes female designers mostly, a significant change that is highly welcome and appreciated. Trotter’s first collection for the Italian brand was a triumph, offering newness while respecting the DNA of the brand. All the other designers showing debut collections were men.

Folded Fusion collection of seats and tables tell a story: bespoke carvings in aluminium and brass interact with hand-pleated fabrics made from exceptional forgotten fabrics from Haute Couture houses such as Dries Van Noten, Natan and Jean-Paul Gaultier, as well as prestigious French fabric manufacturers such as Lelièvre. This dialogue turns into unique works at the crossroads of art and design.

Born from the collaboration with .delvenne Folded Fusion at first benefited from the support of the European before engaging in dialogue with emblematic design pieces.
