"Is the European Parliament ready to push forward with carbon price?"

This is the question that Eumans president Marco Cappatoposed to the PETI Committee, asking for the Parliament commitment to lead the United Nations towards a global carbon price system now and in future climate summits.

The proposal stems from our ECI , supported by thousands of citizens, 100 mayors and two former UN Presidents, to push for a global price of 50€/t as a way to fight the Climate Crisis and to reform taxation, shifting away from salaries to resources consumption.

This summer heatwaves prove (again!) that we are living a climate crisis, and while the EU made some progress in climate action, the crisis is far from solved.

We ask for carbonprice. But there are other ways to fight global warming: join the EUMANS assembly to share your ideas and connect with citizens from all over the EU!

In this Assembly we invite members and non-members to think together on the priorities for action, knowing that only by joining forces we can make change happen

Thanks to all our supporters we managed to set the EU agenda and to see our demand for carbonprice brought to reality.

World leaders on November 2021 at COP26 can take important actions on climate: we know that alone will not be enough to end climate change, it will take all of our collective and individual actions to .

We are made by this planet, we live on this planet, let's take care of it. Let's take care of ourselves.

With disincentives on oil and gas and price slash on electricity we will begin cleaning our energy system, with non-electric cars ban by 2035. We understand the need to protect consumers, but climate change won't wait 15 years to hit us again, we need climate action now!

Vice President Frans Timmermans, we have to make sure that the Green Deal won't leave anyone behind: the Social Climate Fund will be essential in co-financing green renovations, but it might be too little too late. We need a revolution at all levels so that tragedies like won't happen again.

EU carbonmarket has been extended to aviation and maritime, and carbonprice will be applied to steel and electricity, while a Carbon Border Adjustment will protect us from carbon dumping: it's a start but still an improvement towards more sustainability in the Union.
