বৃক্ষরোপণ করি, জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের ঝুঁকি কমাই।

​বর্তমান সরকারের ঘোষিত আগামী ৫ বছরে সারাদেশে ২৫ কোটি বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচির অংশ হিসেবে পটুয়াখালী জেলা প্রশাসন ও উপজেলা প্রশাসনের উদ্যোগে আজ বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচি ও সচেতনতামূলক সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। পরিবেশ সংরক্ষণ ও জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের ঝুঁকি মোকাবিলায় এ উদ্যোগ একটি অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদক্ষেপ।

​উক্ত কর্মসূচিতে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন পটুয়াখালীর সম্মানিত জেলা প্রশাসক ড. মোহাম্মদ শহীদ হোসেন চৌধুরী। বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন স্থানীয় সরকার বিভাগের উপ-সচিব জুয়েল রানা এবং অতিরিক্ত জেলা ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট মোহাম্মদ তারেক হাওলাদার।
উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার পটুয়াখালী সদর এছাড়া উপকূলীয় বন বিভাগ, কৃষি সম্প্রসারণ অধিদপ্তর, বিভিন্ন সরকারি-বেসরকারি সংস্থার প্রতিনিধি এবং স্থানীয় সাংবাদিকবৃন্দ অংশগ্রহণ করেন।

​এ সময় 'ধূমকেতু ইয়ুথ ফাউন্ডেশন (ডিওয়াইএফ)'-এর স্বেচ্ছাসেবকবৃন্দ সক্রিয়ভাবে বৃক্ষরোপণ কার্যক্রমে অংশগ্রহণ করেন এবং পরিবেশ রক্ষায় তাদের দৃঢ় অঙ্গীকার ব্যক্ত করেন।

​আসুন, আমরা সবাই বেশি বেশি গাছ লাগাই, সবুজ পটুয়াখালী গড়ি এবং ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্মের জন্য একটি নিরাপদ ও বাসযোগ্য পৃথিবী নিশ্চিত করি।

ত্যাগের মহিমায় উদ্ভাসিত হোক ঈদ, ঈদের আনন্দ হোক সকলের জন্য।

পবিত্র ঈদুল আজহা আমাদের মাঝে নিয়ে আসে ত্যাগ, আত্মশুদ্ধি এবং সহমর্মিতার এক অনন্য বার্তা। আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টির উদ্দেশ্যে পশু কুরবানির পাশাপাশি আমাদের দায়িত্বশীল হতে হবে আমাদের চারপাশের পরিবেশের প্রতিও। ইসলামে পরিচ্ছন্নতাকে ঈমানের অঙ্গ বলা হয়েছে।

​একজন সচেতন নাগরিক এবং তরুণ হিসেবে এবারের ঈদে আমাদের কিছু করণীয়:

​নির্দিষ্ট স্থানে কুরবানি: যত্রতত্র পশু কুরবানি না করে নির্ধারিত বা নিরাপদ স্থানে কুরবানি সম্পন্ন করি।

​বর্জ্য অপসারণ: কুরবানির পর পশুর রক্ত ও বর্জ্য মাটিতে গর্ত করে পুঁতে ফেলি অথবা প্লাস্টিকের ব্যাগে ভরে ডাস্টবিনে রাখি। কোনোভাবেই যেন ড্রেন বা জলাশয়ে বর্জ্য না যায়।

​জীবাণুনাশকের ব্যবহার: কুরবানির স্থানটি পানি দিয়ে ভালোভাবে ধুয়ে ব্লিচিং পাউডার বা জীবাণুনাশক তরল ছিটানো নিশ্চিত করি।

​পরিবেশবান্ধব ব্যাগ: মাংস বিতরণের ক্ষেত্রে ক্ষতিকারক পলিথিন বর্জন করে পরিবেশবান্ধব বা কাগজের ব্যাগ ব্যবহারে উৎসাহিত করি।

​আসুন, Dhumketu Youth Foundation-DYF এর সাথে একাত্ম হয়ে আমরা তরুণরাই সবার মুখে হাসি ফোটানোর পাশাপাশি নিই নিজ নিজ এলাকা পরিচ্ছন্ন রাখার উদ্যোগ। একজন তরুণ হিসেবে এই ঈদে আপনার কি ইউনিক আইডিয়া ব্যাবহার করে সমাজে অবদান রাখছেন আমাদের জানান।

Empowering Youth to Anchor Resilience in Crisis!

​We are pleased to share that Dhumketu Youth Foundation-DYF actively participated in the "SRH Working Group Meeting on Cyclone Preparedness" held today at the Civil Surgeon Office Conference Room, Patuakhali. Organized by the Civil Surgeon Office, Patuakhali, and supported by CIPRB and UNFPA Bangladesh, the discussion centered on safeguarding community health and preparedness during natural disasters.
​DYF was proudly represented at the forum by our Organizing Secretary, Md Asadul Islam and Former Executive Member, Md. Ikhtiar Hosain

​A special shoutout to our 03 dedicated volunteers whose relentless backend effort in gathering crucial field-level data made this contribution impactful. It is the raw energy and structured dedication of our youth that drives real change when the community needs it most!

কর্মসূচির ২য় দিনে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন পটুয়াখালী সিভিল সার্জন অফিসের মেডিকেল অফিসার ডা. জিয়াউর রহমান (জিয়া)। জনসচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি এবং এডিস মশার প্রজননস্থল ধ্বংসের মাধ্যমে শহরকে নিরাপদ রাখাই এই অভিযানের মূল লক্ষ্য।

​A Dengue prevention drive is being conducted in Patuakhali, organized by BRAC Health Program’s Climate Change and Health Project, with the joint participation of Dhumketu Youth Foundation (DYF) and Red Crescent Society, Patuakhali District Unit.

Dr. Ziaur Rahman (Zia), Medical Officer of the Civil Surgeon Office, Patuakhali, attended the second day of the program as the chief guest. The primary goal of this campaign is to keep the city safe by increasing public awareness and destroying the breeding sites of Aedes mosquitoes.

অভিযানের প্রথম দিনে ২৫০ শয্যা বিশিষ্ট মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে এই কর্মসূচির উদ্বোধন করেন হাসপাতালের তত্ত্বাবধায়ক ডা. দিলরুবা ইয়াসমিন লিজা। মশার প্রজনন রোধ এবং জনসচেতনতা বৃদ্ধিই এই অভিযানের মূল লক্ষ্য।

ত্যাগের মহিমাকে জানাই সশ্রদ্ধ সালাম: শহীদ জননী জাহানারা ইমাম এবং বাংলাদেশের সাহসী মায়েদের স্মরণে।

​এই মা দিবসে, ধূমকেতু ইয়ুথ ফাউন্ডেশন সেই সকল কিংবদন্তি মায়েদের গভীর শ্রদ্ধাভরে স্মরণ করছে, যারা তাঁদের সাহস এবং নিঃস্বার্থ ভালোবাসা দিয়ে আমাদের জাতিকে গড়ে তুলেছেন। ​জাহানারা ইমামের অটল শক্তি থেকে শুরু করে সুফিয়া কামাল, রমা চৌধুরী এবং তারামন বিবির অদম্য সাহসিকতা—তাঁদের রেখে যাওয়া আদর্শ আজও আমাদের যুবসমাজকে অনুপ্রাণিত করে। একইসাথে আমরা সেই সকল ‘রত্নগর্ভা’ মায়েদের সম্মান জানাই, যারা তাঁদের সন্তানদের উজ্জ্বল ভবিষ্যৎ গড়তে নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছেন।
