রূপপুর পারমাণবিক বিদ্যুৎকেন্দ্র (রূপপুর পারমাণবিক বিদ্যুৎকেন্দ্র) একটি ২.৪ গিগাওয়াট প্রকল্প যা বাংলাদেশের ইশ্বরদী উপজেলায় পদ্মা নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত রূপপুরে নির্মিত হচ্ছে। এটি দেশের প্রথম পারমাণবিক বিদ্যুৎকেন্দ্র হবে এবং এর দুটি ইউনিটের প্রথমটি ২০২৪ সালে চালু হওয়ার কথা।
এই প্রকল্পে VVER-1200/523 রিঅ্যাক্টর এবং গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবকাঠামো নির্মাণ করছে রাশিয়ার রসাটম স্টে
ট অ্যাটমিক এনার্জি কর্পোরেশন। নির্মাণের শীর্ষ সময়ে প্রকল্পে ১২,৫০০ কর্মী কাজ করবে, যার মধ্যে ২,৫০০ রাশিয়ান বিশেষজ্ঞ। সম্পন্ন হলে এটি বাংলাদেশের বিদ্যুতের প্রায় ১৫% উৎপাদন করবে।

২০২৪: প্রথম ইউনিটের সম্পন্নকরণ এবং কার্যক্রম শুরু।

Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant
The Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (রূপপুর পারমাণবিক বিদ্যুৎকেন্দ্র) is a 2.4 GWe project under construction in Bangladesh. Located at Rooppur in Ishwardi Upazila on the banks of the Padma River, 140 km west of Dhaka, it is set to be the country's first nuclear power plant. The plant features VVER-1200/523 reactors and critical infrastructure built by the Russian Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation. At peak construction, the project will employ 12,500 workers, including 2,500 Russian specialists. Upon completion, it is expected to generate approximately 15% of Bangladesh's electricity. History:
