🎓 Closing Ceremony of Women, Peace and Security Course (WPSC-13) 🇧🇩

The Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT) hosted the Closing Ceremony of the Women, Peace and Security Course (WPSC-13) on 27 August 2026, marking the successful culmination of a week-long professional training programme (23–27 August 2026).

The occasion was graced by Major General Hussain Muhammad Masihur Rahman, SGP, SPP, ndc, afwc, psc, Commandant, BIPSOT, as the Chief Guest.

The course brought together 18 officers, comprising 15 officers from the Bangladesh Armed Forces and Bangladesh Police, alongside 03 international participants from Pakistan, Philippines and Qatar — reflecting the spirit of international cooperation and shared commitment to global peace and security.

Throughout the training, participants gained an enriched understanding of the United Nations' policies, guidelines and principles on Women, Peace and Security, while demonstrating exemplary discipline, enthusiasm and professional dedication.

BIPSOT remains steadfast in its mission to strengthen international peacekeeping capacity through inclusive, forward-looking training — reaffirming Bangladesh's continued contribution to global peace support operations.

📢 Course Opening Ceremony of WPSC-13

The Opening Ceremony of the Women, Peace and Security Course (WPSC)-13 was held today, 23 August 2026, at BIPSOT.

Commandant BIPSOT, Major General Hussain Muhammad Masihur Rahman, SGP, SPP, ndc, afwc, psc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Officers from the Bangladesh Army, Navy, Air Force and Police are participating in the course, along with 03 military officers from friendly countries — Pakistan, the Philippines, and Qatar.

The week-long course, running from 23–27 August 2026, has been designed to promote a better understanding of UN policies, guidelines, and principles on Women, Peace and Security (WPS), enabling participants to perform WPS functions in an effective, professional, and integrated manner.

🎓 PDT (TOT)-17 Concludes at BIPSOT! 🇺🇳

The Closing Ceremony of the Pre-Deployment Training (Training of Trainers) Course, PDT (TOT)-17, for MINUSCA and Naval Contingents was held at BIPSOT on 13 August 2026!

Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest was the Chief Instructor, BIPSOT, whose closing address set the perfect tone for the day.

Over an intensive two-week journey (02–13 August 2026), a remarkable 96 participants from five contingents of varied rank came together — representing BANBAT-13, BANMED-1/13 and BANMED-2/5 (MINUSCA), BANCON-17 (UNIFIL), and BANFMU-12 (UNMISS).

Throughout the fortnight, participants were immersed in the full spectrum of UN peacekeeping preparation, covering Core Pre-deployment Training Material (CPTM), Specialized Training Material (STM), and Mission Specific Training (MST).

In his closing remarks, the Chief Guest praised the discipline, application and professional maturity shown throughout the course, giving special recognition to the outstanding performance of the female JCOs and Other Ranks. He reminded the graduates that the true measure of their training lies ahead — in the standard of the contingents they will now go on to train.

These newly trained trainers are set to carry their skills back to their parent contingents, preparing their fellow peacekeepers with the same effectiveness, professionalism and integration they themselves have mastered. The ceremony closed in a spirit of warmth and camaraderie, sending the participants off well-prepared for the responsibilities ahead. 👏

🎓 UNCCC-19 Bids Farewell at BIPSOT! 🇺🇳

The United Nations Contingent Commanders' Course (UNCCC)-19 officially came to a close on 13 August 2026, with a memorable Closing Ceremony held at BIPSOT!

Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest was Commandant BIPSOT, Major General Hussain Muhammad Masihur Rahman, SGP, SPP, ndc, afwc, psc, whose presence added distinction to the event.

Over an intensive two-week journey (02–13 August 2026), a total of 13 officers from the Bangladesh Armed Forces and Bangladesh Police, along with proud participants from friendly nations Morocco and Pakistan, came together to sharpen the skills that matter most in UN Peace Operations.

From day one, the course was built to shape confident, capable leaders — equipping Contingent Commanders to lead with effectiveness, efficiency and professionalism on the global stage. And they rose to the occasion, showing outstanding discipline, enthusiasm, and commitment throughout.

Course Opening Ceremony of UNCCC-19

On 02 August 2026, the Opening Ceremony of the United Nations Contingent Commanders’ Course (UNCCC)-19 was held at BIPSOT. Acting Commandant BIPSOT, Brigadier General Mohammad Hafiz Mahmud, SGP, ndu, psc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. A total of 14 officers from different outfits attended the course. Among them, 08 officers were from Bangladesh Army, 01 officer from Bangladesh Navy, 02 officers from Bangladesh Air Force and 01 officer from Bangladesh Police. Moreover, friendly countries Morocco and Pakistan sent one participant each for the course. The duration of this course is 2 weeks and to be held from 02–13 August 2026. This course is planned to enable the participants to perform United Nations Contingent Commanders’ functions in an effective, professional and integrated manner.

Course Inauguration Ceremony of PDT (ToT)-17

On 02 August 2026, the Inauguration Ceremony of the Pre-Deployment Training (Training of Trainers) Course, PDT (ToT)-17 for MINUSCA and Naval Contingents, was held at BIPSOT. Chief Instructor, BIPSOT graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. 14 are officers, 17 are Junior Commissioned Officers and 65 are Other Ranks including female a total of 96 participants from five contingents are attending the course. The participants have been drawn from BANBAT-13, BANMED-1/13 and BANMED-2/5 of MINUSCA, along with BANCON-17 of UNIFIL and BANFMU-12 of UNMISS.

The participants are attending the course in two categories, namely Selected Instructors and Assistant Instructors. A total of 32 Selected Instructors from BANBAT-13, BANMED-1/13 and BANMED-2/5 and 64 Assistant Instructors from BANBAT-13, BANMED-1/13, BANMED-2/5, BANCON-17 and BANFMU-12 are undergoing the training.

The duration of this course is 02 weeks, and it is being held from 02–13 August 2026. The course is designed to familiarize the participants with United Nations peacekeeping activities and to impart training on Core Pre-deployment Training Material (CPTM), Specialized Training Material (STM) and Mission Specific Training (MST). On completion of the course, the trained instructors will be able to deliver the requisite pre-deployment training to the remaining members of their respective contingents prior to deployment in United Nations missions.

Course Closing Ceremony of Comprehensive Protection of Civilians (CPOC) Course -2
On 09 July 2026, the Closing Ceremony of Comprehensive Protection of Civilians (CPOC) Course-2 was held at BIPSOT. Commandant BIPSOT, Major General Hussain Muhammad Masihur Rahman, SGP, SPP, ndc, afwc, psc, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
A total of 18 participants successfully completed the six-day course, including officers from the Bangladesh Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, and a friendly foreign military officer from Qatar. Conducted from 04 to 09 July 2026, the course enhanced participants' knowledge and practical understanding of the United Nations Protection of Civilians (POC) framework, including Child Protection (CP) and Conflict-Related Sexual Violence (CRSV) in UN Peace Operations.
Through interactive lectures, syndicate discussions, scenario-based exercises, and practical sessions, the participants developed the knowledge and skills required to effectively plan and implement civilian protection measures in accordance with UN mandates and operational requirements.
BIPSOT congratulates all the participants on their successful completion of the course and wishes them every success in their future assignments in support of international peace and security.

Comprehensive Protection of Civilians (CPOC)-2 Course at BIPSOT

The Comprehensive Protection of Civilians (CPOC)-2 Course officially commenced today at BIPSOT.

The course brings together participants from the Bangladesh Armed Forces, Bangladesh Police, and friendly foreign military personnel from Qatar to strengthen their capacity in the Protection of Civilians within the framework of United Nations Peace Support Operations.

BIPSOT warmly welcomes all participants and wishes them a successful and rewarding course.

Closing Ceremony of PDT – Gang Suppression Force (HAITI)

The Closing Ceremony of the Pre-Deployment Training (Training of Trainers) – Gang Suppression Force (GSF) for Haiti was held on 25 June 2026 at 0945 hrs. The Commandant of BIPSOT, Major General Hussain Muhammad Masihur Rahman, SGP, SPP, ndc, afwc, psc, graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest and awarded certificates among the participants.
A total of 74 participants—54 from Bangladesh Army contingents and 20 from Bangladesh Navy contingents earmarked for Haiti—successfully completed the two-week training, held from 14 to 25 June 2026. The training equipped the participants with the knowledge and skills to conduct pre-deployment training for members of their respective contingent prior to deployment.
The training followed the GSF training guidance and covered CPTM, Specialized Training Materials, Mission Specific Training, mission mandate and task analysis, operational environment, and geopolitical and socio-cultural awareness related to Haiti. The participants’ practical knowledge was assessed through Integrated Field Training. The Chief of Army Staff, Bangladesh Army observed the field training event and expressed his satisfaction with the performance of the participants.
The participants demonstrated discipline, enthusiasm and professionalism throughout the course, contributing to its successful completion.
