The Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) is a tri-services volunteer reserve defence force comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force wing for school, college and university students. Students are trained by military staffs and personnel all through the cadet ship. BNCC remains high value on the public-military relationship in the society. BNCC cadets work together with Army, Navy, Air Force as well as Civil Defense authority in national integrity and emergencies. After the establishment of Dhaka University (1921), the Corps initiated its activities under the provisions of the Indian Territorial Forces Act, 1923. Groom was the first adjutant of the Corps, he imparted military training to 100 students and 16 teachers in November 1927. Later University Training Corps was officially founded in June 1928; in 1943, the name of the Corps was changed to University Officers Training Corps (UOTC). The members of this Corps took part in the liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971, after independence, Bangladesh Cadet Corps comprising college students, and Junior Cadet Corps comprising junior students were formed in addition to University Officers Training Corps. On 23 March 1979, University Officers Training Corps, Bangladesh Cadet Corps, and Junior Cadet Corps were all merged to Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC). The Training Activities of BNCC Cadets are subdivided into Army, Navy, and Air Wing. At present, its headquarters is located in Sector 6, Uttara Model Town, Dhaka-1230. There are three types of Cadets in BNCC and divided under two broad heads namely, Senior Division and Junior Division cadets. Senior division again has two categories of female and male cadets of various levels of education, the Bangladesh Government Cabinet approved a proposal to bring BNCC under a legal framework and department. The proposal was titled Bangladesh National Cadet Corps Act-2016, the separate department would be under the Ministry of Defense. Bangladesh National Cadet Corps has Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) with India, Singapore, Nepal, Maldives and Singapore. Every year total of 56 BNCC Cadets get the opportunity to visit those Countries under YEP and an equal no of foreign cadets also visit Bangladesh to join our Independence Day Celebration Programmes. The benefits of this program have been widely acknowledged. Through these visits, cadet knows each others’ culture, heritage and which help to develop a strong bond between them.

গত ০৬.০৭.২০২৬ হতে ১০.০৭.২০২৬ পর্যন্ত অনুষ্ঠিত গ্রীষ্মকালীন প্রশিক্ষণ ২০২৬-এ বীরশ্রেষ্ঠ মুন্সি আব্দুর রউফ পাবলিক কলেজ প্লাটুনের দুইজন ক্যাডেট—ক্যাডেট সালেহীন হালিম এবং ক্যাডেট শাহান আলী পাঠান—সফলতার সঙ্গে অংশগ্রহণ করে প্রশিক্ষণ সম্পন্ন করেছে।

প্রশিক্ষণের সমাপনী অনুষ্ঠানে ৮৬ ব্রিগেড কমান্ডার মহোদয় অংশগ্রহণকারী সকল ক্যাডেট ও পিইউওদের মাঝে সনদপত্র বিতরণ করেন এবং তাঁদের সফলতা ও ভবিষ্যৎ কর্মজীবনের জন্য শুভকামনা জানান।

প্রশিক্ষণ চলাকালীন মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী জনাব তারেক রহমান, বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনীর প্রধান এবং বাংলাদেশ আনসার ব্যাটালিয়নের মহাপরিচালক (ডিজি) মহোদয় প্রশিক্ষণ কার্যক্রম পরিদর্শন করেন। তাঁদের মূল্যবান দিকনির্দেশনা, অনুপ্রেরণামূলক বক্তব্য এবং আন্তরিক উপস্থিতি প্রশিক্ষণার্থীদের মনোবলকে আরও দৃঢ় ও উদ্দীপ্ত করেছে।

বীরশ্রেষ্ঠ মুন্সি আব্দুর রউফ পাবলিক কলেজ প্লাটুনের পক্ষ থেকে ক্যাডেট সালেহীন হালিম এবং ক্যাডেট শাহান আলী পাঠান-কে জানাই আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন ও শুভেচ্ছা। তাঁদের এই সাফল্য প্লাটুনের জন্য গৌরবের এবং ভবিষ্যতে অন্যান্য ক্যাডেটদের জন্য অনুপ্রেরণার উৎস হয়ে থাকবে।

গত ২৯ জুন ২০২৬ (সোমবার) রাজধানীর বাংলাদেশ-চীন মৈত্রী আন্তর্জাতিক সম্মেলন কেন্দ্র থেকে ‘One Child, One Tree’ কর্মসূচির আওতায় দেশের ২৯,৬২১টি মাধ্যমিক পর্যায়ের শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানে একযোগে বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচির আনুষ্ঠানিক সূচনা করেন তিনি। এ সময় তাঁর সঙ্গে উপস্থিত ছিলেন তাঁর সহধর্মিণী ডা. জুবাইদা রহমান।

Today on 20 May 2026 the weekly training session of the Birshreshtha Munshi Abdur Rouf Public College Platoon was conducted with proper discipline and professionalism.
The highlight of today’s program was the farewell reception of our respected instructor, Corporal Helal Staff, who is departing after nearly two years of dedicated service to the platoon.
Throughout his tenure, he served with utmost sincerity, discipline, professionalism, and commitment towards every cadet. His guidance, leadership, and genuine care for the cadets earned him immense respect and admiration within the platoon.
Today’s farewell became an emotional moment for all, as the platoon expressed gratitude to a trainer who always gave his best in shaping and mentoring future leaders. Almost all senior male and female cadets, along with the Junior Division cadets, were present at the program.

আজ ১৬.০৫.২০২৬ তারিখে সাভার ক্যান্টনমেন্ট ক্ষুদ্রাস্ত ফায়ারিং রেঞ্জে “Firing Practice–2026” সফলভাবে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। উক্ত ফায়ারিং অনুশীলনে বীরশ্রেষ্ঠ মুন্সি আব্দুর রউফ পাবলিক কলেজ প্লাটুনের পক্ষ থেকে অংশগ্রহণ করেন ক্যাডেট জুনায়েদ আল হাসান এবং ক্যাডেট হাসানাত মাহিশা আবিরা।
ফায়ারিং কার্যক্রম শুরুর পূর্বে বিএনসিসি একাডেমি ভবনে সকল ক্যাডেটদের রোল কল সম্পন্ন করা হয় এবং পরবর্তীতে পর্যায়ক্রমে ফায়ারিং রেঞ্জে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়। এ সময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন ০৪ বিএনসিসি ব্যাটালিয়ন এডজুটেন্ট মেজর আবু রিফাত মোঃ মোতালেব, যিনি ব্যক্তিগতভাবে সকল ক্যাডেটদের অস্ত্রের ব্যবহার, নিরাপত্তা বিধি ও ফায়ারিং সংক্রান্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ দিকনির্দেশনা প্রদান করেন।

On 11.05.2026, the 1 BNCC Battalion organized the Quarterly BNCC Evaluation Test at the Dhaka College Platoon with the participation of cadets from different platoons under the battalion. Nearly 228 cadets took part in the evaluation program, making the event both competitive and disciplined.
Cadets from the Bir Shreshtha Munshi Abdur Rouf Public College Platoon actively participated in the test, including both Male and Female cadets of the Senior Division, along with all cadets of the Junior Division. The presence and participation of every cadet reflected the platoon’s dedication, unity, and commitment towards BNCC activities and training.
The evaluation program was attended by respected CUOs, PUOs, and Army Staff Instructors of BNCC, whose supervision and guidance ensured the successful completion of the event in a disciplined environment.
The test included several physical and endurance activities such as Long Jump, Chin-Up, Push-Up, and a 1 KM run. All participating cadets performed with determination, sincerity, and team spirit throughout the entire evaluation process. Through their effort and discipline, the cadets successfully completed the Quarterly Evaluation Test with confidence and enthusiasm.
The program served as an important step in improving the cadets’ physical fitness, mental strength, discipline, and overall readiness for future BNCC training and responsibilities.

Today’s weekly BNCC class was successfully conducted at the Bir Shreshtha Munshi Abdur Rouf Public College Platoon with the presence of almost all cadets of the platoon. The session mainly focused on firing-related fundamentals and practical understanding of the Type 56 rifle.
During the class, cadets were guided through the basic structure and important parts of the rifle, along with the proper process of opening and handling it safely. Detailed instructions were also provided on aiming techniques, firing procedures, discipline during weapon handling, and the responsibilities a cadet must maintain during firing activities.
The entire session was conducted and explained thoroughly by Cadet Sergeant Durjoy Datta, who patiently demonstrated every important step so that all cadets could understand clearly and confidently. Every cadet attended the class with great attention and enthusiasm, learning sincerely in preparation for future firing participation and training activities.
It was an informative and disciplined session that helped strengthen the cadets’ knowledge, confidence, teamwork, and overall understanding of basic weapon handling under BNCC training.

Akash Bijoy 2026, the annual exercise of the Bangladesh Air Force, was held from 5–9 April 2026 across various air bases and units nationwide, aiming to enhance operational capability, combat readiness, and air defense systems.
On 5 April 2026, a training session was conducted by Flight Lieutenant Iftekhar Uddin Limon, where Cadet Corporal Shariful and Cadet Junayed were awarded in the quiz segment for their performance.

From 6–9 April 2026, BNCC cadets including the Birshrestha Munshi Abdur Rouf College Platoon—performed crucial duties at key locations, working alongside RP and the Bomb Disposal Unit, ensuring strict security and disciplined operations.
Throughout the exercise, all Bangladesh Air Force personnel including staff members, Warrant Officers, and Officers provided continuous support, guidance, and cooperation, which greatly helped us perform our duties effectively.
The cadets of our platoon carried out their responsibilities with remarkable professionalism and efficiency, highlighting their dedication and valuable contribution in supporting national defense.
