💬 What is particularly striking is the hypocrisy and cynical reaction of European delegations, which are usually quick to level accusations against Russia whenever politically convenient, but in this case chose to effectively ignore the tragedy in Starobelsk and shift the blame onto Moscow.

But we were not surprised then, and we are not surprised now. What human compassion can we expect from them when the blood of the children of Starobelsk is on their hands as well?

⚠️ For many years, their countries have been supplying the terrorist Zelensky regime with money, intelligence, weapons and ammunition, encouraging it to commit new crimes against civilians, and then shielding it by portraying it as a victim.

The UN Secretariat, so prompt in some cases, has unfortunately once again limited itself to general rhetoric and the vaguest possible wording, avoiding a direct assessment of Kiev’s actions. It claims there is no access to the site of the tragedy and no possibility to verify the data.

We have repeatedly stated that UN representatives can visit the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions via Russian territory. Yet UN officials do not make use of these opportunities.

❓ Why does the UN Secretariat so easily find the words when it needs to support the Western version of events, yet struggle so painfully to choose its wording when it must call a Ukrainian strike on children a crime?

Why do some victims deserve immediate compassion, while others do not? Why does the death of minors in one place prompt loud statements and condemnations, while the deaths of children in Starobelsk are met with silence?

☝️ Here is yet another glaring manifestation of the West’s double standards and hypocrisy.

The events of the past week have clearly shown that neither the leader of the Kiev regime nor his sponsors seek any substantive dialogue with our country on the prospects for a peaceful settlement. On the contrary, they are doing everything to escalate the confrontation.

❗️ Routine calls for an unconditional ceasefire are merely a cover for Kiev to continue its terror.

The so-called leaders of Europe are only encouraging Zelensky’s already reckless and suicidal mindset. The tone of their comments leaves no doubt that they have finally and irreversibly written Ukraine off, once again trying to buy time for their insane preparations for “war with Russia”.

The Western propaganda machine works day and night for one purpose only – to shift responsibility for the latest actions of “civilised” states in Ukraine onto our country.

Let me say this at once: they will not get away with it. They will inevitably be held accountable for their reckless and predatory actions against both Russia and Ukraine.

👉 It is obvious that without military pressure, no calls for real diplomacy will work. Russia's Armed Forces will continue fulfilling the objectives of the special military operation to denazify and demilitarise Ukraine until the security threats emanating from its territory are fully eliminated.

The Embassy of Russia to Bangladesh extends its warm greetings on the occasion of Eid-al-Adha ✨

🌱 On May 24, Russia's Prodintorg and Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) signed an agreement to import more than 500 thousand tonnes of muriate of potash (MOP) fertiliser in FY2026-27.

On behalf of Russia, Ambassador Alexandr Khozin and representatives of Ministry of Agriculture and Prodintorg were present at the signing ceremony. From Bangladeshi side, the event was attended by the Agriculture Secretary Dr Rafiqul I Mohamed, along with representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and BADC.

As part of previous arrangements with Prodintorg, BADC has been importing MOP fertiliser from Russia for several years.

This is the major agreement in the history of our bilateral intergovernmental cooperation in the field of fertilisers.

🏃‍➡️Dhaka has joined the largest international half marathon, One Run. Over a thousand sports enthusiasts from Bangladesh and Russia participated in the race, including employees of the Russian Embassy, the Russian House, and the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant. The race was organized by the Russian sports team "Hero League" and the Bangladeshi company GamePlay.

Participants could choose one of four distances: 1 km, 5 km, 10 km, and 21.1 km. The routes circled Hatirjheel Lake. All runners received memorable prizes, and the winners of each distance had unique awards.

Ambassador Alexander Khozin congratulated the participants and organizers on the successful event and wished everyone new sports achievements in future. On behalf of the Russian diplomatic mission, he expressed gratitude to Natalia Tasenko and Faisal Titumir, representatives of the "Hero League" and “GamePlay”.

State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Aminul Haque and Zaima Rahman, daughter of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, attended the awards ceremony as chief guests.

For the second year in a row, the One Run half marathon has brought together citizens of Russia and Bangladesh, giving them the opportunity to join a large-scale sporting event taking place on the same day in dozens of other countries: from China to Brazil, from Nepal to Tanzania.

🌇 On November 23–24, 2026, the International Municipal Forum ( ) will be held in Moscow at the National Center "Russia."

✅ The main theme of the Forum in 2026 is "Sustainable Urban Transformation: Responding to Global Challenges."

The IMF will become a key platform for discussing pressing issues in modern urban development, including the implementation of information and communication technologies and artificial intelligence, as well as environmental issues and development of logistics and transport infrastructure. Particular attention will be paid to training and education to implement best urban development practices.

The Forum builds on the experience of the BRICS International Municipal Forum in 2025, which brought together more than 5,300 participants, including 653 city mayors and heads of municipalities. Following the event, 76 cooperation agreements were signed.

The Forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federation Council, the Moscow City Duma, the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Government, and the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The IMF will provide participants with the opportunity to present their best projects, advanced practices, and achievements, demonstrate modern technological solutions for ensuring sustainable development of cities and regions and expand foreign economic cooperation between entrepreneurs.

Since the end of the Second World War, changes in the international landscape and in the global balance of power have been accelerating.

On the one hand, the wave of decolonisation and the end of the Cold War led to a significant increase in the number of sovereign states in the world.

The international community has become more diverse and complex. The level of development and international influence of the countries of Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean has grown. The number of regional and interregional associations has increased, with their activities covering all areas of international relations – from politics and security to the economy and the humanitarian dimension – and their role in world affairs is steadily growing. Interconnectedness and interdependence in the world have reached an unprecedented level in human history.

☝️ Attempts by a number of states to single-handedly manage world affairs, impose their interests on the entire world and restrict the sovereign development opportunities of other countries in the spirit of the colonial era have failed.

In the 21st century, the system of international relations is undergoing a profound transformation, evolving towards a long-term state of polycentricity and the formation of international relations of a new type.

Most states, taking into account their historical experience, have become deeply aware of the advent of a new era and the need to follow the path towards building a more cohesive international community, as well as mutual respect for fundamental interests, equality, justice and mutually beneficial cooperation – without dividing the world into opposing regions and blocs.

On the other hand, the global situation is becoming more complex. Negative neocolonial trends are on the rise, including the practice of unilateral force-based approaches, hegemonism and bloc confrontation.

The basic universally recognised norms of international law and international relations are being regularly trampled upon; it is becoming more difficult for states to coordinate their actions and settle conflicts within global governance institutions, many of which are losing their effectiveness. The global agenda of peace and development is facing new risks and challenges, and there is a danger of fragmentation of the international community and a return to the “law of the jungle”.

🌐 Advocating a harmonious process of shaping an equal and orderly multipolar world and international relations of a new type, including a more just and rational system of global governance, Russia and China undertake and call on the international community to adhere to the following basic principles in their relations with one another:

1. The principle of openness of the world to inclusive and mutually beneficial cooperation.

2. The principle of indivisible and equal security.

3. The principle of democratisation of international relations and improvement of the global governance system.

4. The diversity of world civilisations and values.

Russia and China will continue to develop a shared vision for shaping a and more just international relations of a new type.
