IUB Library Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) is a leading private university in Bangladesh situated in Dhaka. One of them has PhD in the same subject area.

The Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) Library is committed to supporting teaching, learning, and research by providing access to world-class resources and services. It maintains a library which is in the meantime has acquired fame for its organization and services in the country. IUB Library was established in 1993 in a room of a rented house, which was then known as IUB Campus 1, at Baridh

ara, Dhaka with a collection of 160 volumes donated by a founder trust Dr. A Majeed Khan. As the library expanded, by 1996 it occupied a floor of the Campus 1. In 1998, the library moved from Campus 1 to Campus 5, another rented house. The library was furnished in two floors of Campus 5 initially. Within few years the four storied Campus 5 was come under the use of library. The library finally shifted to the universityโ€™s permanent campus at Bashundhara Residential Area in August 2010. As of April 2017, the IUB Library's print collection exceeded 30,000 items which include major collections of books, periodicals, and reprints. To address the recent trends of the library users the IUB Library initiated to add digital resources. It started to explore the electronic version of the then subscribed journals. It registered for Oxford University Press Journals for Developing countries in 2002. From 2003 it got access to JSTOR and then it started subscription to it. Currently the library has subscription to quite a good number of full text electronic databases. The library runs by the qualified staff members, supporting staff and students support. Among the fifteen regular staff members eight of them have master degree in library/information science/management. Over twenty students support the library throughout the week under Campus Employment Programme of the university

The IUB Library is pleased to have co-organized the launch event of โ€œ๐‘๐ž๐ข๐ฆ๐š๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ: ๐๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ž๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐‡๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ž๐ซ ๐„๐๐ฎ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ข๐ง ๐๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐š๐๐ž๐ฌ๐ก.โ€ The program took place on 26th January at the DMK Lecture Gallery, IUB. The program brought together a distinguished gathering, including the Chairman of the IUB Board of Trustees and other Trustee members, Vice-Chancellors, Pro-Vice-Chancellors, senior administrators, and faculty members from various universities across the country attended the program, making it a truly collaborative academic gathering.

During the ceremony, the editor of the book, ๐๐ซ๐จ๐Ÿ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐จ๐ซ ๐’๐ฒ๐ž๐ ๐’๐š๐š๐ ๐€๐ง๐๐š๐ฅ๐ž๐ž๐›, officially handed over a copy of the publication to the IUB Library. The book was received on behalf of the Library by our Librarian, ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐Œ๐. ๐’๐ก๐š๐ก๐š๐ฃ๐š๐๐š ๐Œ๐š๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ ๐€๐ง๐จ๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐‡๐š๐ช๐ฎ๐ž. This important scholarly contribution is now part of our expanding academic collection and will greatly benefit researchers, faculty members, and students.
