RTI, BD (Right to Information Act, 2009- Section 3)

An informed citizenry will be better equipped to keep necessary vigil over the instruments of government and make the government more accountable to the governed. The Act has created a practical regime through which the citizens of the country may have access to information under the control of public and other authorities. NB- Of any existing law- (a) the provisions of providing information shall

not be affected by the provisions of this Act; and (b) the provisions of creating impediment in providing information shall be superseded by the provisions of this Act if they become conflicting with the provisions of this Act.
