PDG Khairul did his Post-Graduation in Management from University of Dhaka, MBA from Newport University, USA and PGDPM from BIM. Khairul has been actively involved with many philanthropic organizations and business associations
and is the Life members of Assistance for Blind Children (ABC), Dhaka University Alumni Association (DUAA), Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), Bangladesh Heart Foundation, Rajshahi, Chittagong Kidney Foundation, Khulna Shishu Foundation, and Life Registered Graduate of University of Dhaka. He is a member of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), Bangladesh Philippines Chamber of Commerce of Industry (BPCCI), Dutch Bangla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DBCCI) and has served as the Director of Bangladesh Indenting Agentsโ Association (BIAA). Rotary became part of his life when he joined Rotary as a Rotaractor in 1986. During the last 37 years he has served Rotary in many remarkable positions and has always participated and promoted humanitarian projects. He has coordinated many polio camps since 1988(as Rotaractor and Rotarian). In many cases he has piloted and led implementation of various life changing service projects including district and global grants. His selfless remarkable service created an enormous impact on the community. Khairul served as District Governor in 2019-20 of Rotary International, D3281, Bangladesh, the largest District in the Rotary world. Some of the remarkable performances of the year are;
District became Champion in the World in net membership Growth of 1384 (24.38% Top in the World) with Retention of 96% (top in the World), Top in Percentage Female Membership Growth in Zone1B. 23 Rotary Clubs, 17 Rotaract Clubs, 6 Interact Clubs, and 5 RCC were Charter during 2019-20. Enrolment of Five New AKS members (Top in South Asia). In TRF Contribution ($6,41,719) Top in Zone 1B and 28th in World Ranking. 24 Global Grant Project implemented valued USD 1,558,025.00 (including two Rotary Branded Hospital, ICU units, HDU units, Physiotherapy Units etc.). In fighting COVID-19, initiated the massive COVID-19 response in Bangladesh from Rotary which created a tremendous impact and drew local and international media attention. In Fighting COVID-19, he led and coordinated 3.5 million masks distribution across the country, distributed 16,000 bottles of hand sanitizer and provided food and monetary support to 3000 jobless families. On Special Invitation of 2019-20 RI President Mark Maloney joined Rotary UN Day Celebration 2019 at UN HQ, NY, USA. Khairul served Rotary as ARRFC 2020-23, Zone-1B, Region-10, Coordinator, TRF COVID-19 Task Force, 2020-22, Zone -1B, Vice Chair, 2024 Taipei Rotary Institute, Taiwan, 2023 Kaohsiung Rotary Institute, Taiwan, 2022 Yas Island Rotary Zone Institute, 2020 Singapore Rotary Zone Institute and Country Promotion Chair, 2018 Yogya Rotary Zone Institute, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, Zone 1B, 9 & 10, Region 10, The Rotary Foundation Cadre of Technical Advisors 2015-2022. Served as DRFC 2022-25 Chair, Bangladesh National PolioPlus Committee 2022-24, COL Representative to RI 2023-25. Khairul attended fourteen Rotary International Conventions, nine Rotary Zone Institutes, Five RI Presidential Conference and many International programs of Rotary in the capacity as delegates, facilitator, moderator and speaker. He has attended 2019 Rotary International Assembly, Sun Diego, USA as DGE. Khairul has received Service Above Self Award-Rotary International highest honour and Four Avenue of Service Award, Club Builders Award from Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation District Service Award. He has been judged as one of the outstanding DGE at the GETS in Yogyakarta, Indonesia held in November 2018. Khairul is a widely travelled person and has visited many countries in Asia, Australia, Africa, Europe, and North America for business, Trade fairs, tourism, and Rotary programs. He has also represented Bangladesh in many International events too. Khairul and his spouse PDFL Selina Alam Mini is a Major Donor and Benefactor, their only daughter Aurony Alam and Son in Law Masud Bin Kader are Paul Harris Fellow of The Rotary Foundation.
