Bangladesh Youth Union

Since its inception, it has been the pioneering organization in the youth movement of the Country in defending the rights and interests of young people. BYU beats with it the revolutionary legacies and glorious traditions of youth movement in this subcontinent. At its birth Bangladesh Youth Union’s main declarations were:

It will relentlessly struggle and put all its efforts in establishing a happy and prosperous society free from exploitation and injustice and thus fulfill the yet unrealized dream of our martyrs. It will play in independent and active role in defending the rights of youth and take all out efforts and initiatives to facilitate and enable young people unleash their creative an innovative faculties enhance their professional skills and efficiency. It will organize social movements that will generate hatred for all sorts of immoral, antisocial activities and will inactivate young people to stand bold and uncompromising to fight them out. It will put its efforts to inculcate among young people feelings of patriotism: love and respect for and solidarity with the toiling people and mobilize them in the noble tasks of nation building. It will fight against communalism and all sorts of meanness and vile sectarianism and create a spirit of brotherhood amongst young people irrespective of religion, caste or creed. It will fight against imperialism, capitalist exploitation and join hands in the struggle for world peace and solidarity with toiling masses and the young people struggling for their economic emancipation
