Electricity Generation Bangladesh - EGB PLC Generation of Quality Electricity for the betterment of the Nation. Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh (EGCB) Ltd.

(An Enterprise of Bangladesh Power Development Board) was incorporated with Registrar of joint stock companies on February 16, 2004 to produce and sale of Electricity. EGCB has a plan to become a leading electricity generation company across the country. Electricity generation-related business services are among the fastest growing and key area of the economy, EGCB intends to capitalize on the opportunity in that area. The company's major share is currently held by BPDB.

ইলেক্ট্রিসিটি জেনারেশন বাংলাদেশ পিএলসি (ইজিবি পিএলসি) এর আওতায় বাস্তবায়িত সোনাগাজী ৭৫ মেঃওঃ সৌর বিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্র হতে বিদ্যুৎ বিক্রয়ের জন্য বাংলাদেশ বিদ্যুৎ উন্নয়ন বোর্ড (বিপিডিবি) এবং ইজিবি পিএলসি এর মধ্যে গত ০২/০৪/২০২৬ খ্রিঃ তারিখে Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) স্বাক্ষরিত হয়। এসময় বিপিডিবি ও ইজিবি পিএলসির উর্ধ্বতন কর্মকর্তাগণ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

আন্তর্জাতিক নারী দিবস উপলক্ষ্যে ০৮ মার্চ, ২০২৬ ইং তারিখ রোজ রবিবার, দুপুর ২.০০ ঘটিকায় ইলেক্ট্রিসিটি জেনারেশন বাংলাদেশ পিএলসি এর সম্মানিত ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক মহোদয়ের সভাপতিত্বে একটি আলোচনা সভার আয়োজন করা হয়। উক্ত সভায় প্রতিষ্ঠানের নির্বাহী পরিচালকগণ, প্রধান প্রকৌশলীগণ, ব্যবস্থাপক ও তদুর্ধ্ব কর্মকর্তাসহ সকল নারী কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারী উপস্থিত ছিলেন। সভায় সকল নারী কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীকে ফুল দ্বারা শুভেচ্ছা জানানো হয়। ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক মহোদয়সহ প্রতিষ্ঠানের সকল বিদ্যুৎকেন্দ্রের প্রধান প্রকৌশলীগণ, নির্বাহী পরিচালকগণ(প্রশাসন ও অর্থ, পরিকল্পনা ও উন্নয়ন, পরিচালন ও সংরক্ষন) নারী দিবস উপলক্ষ্যে প্রতিষ্ঠানের সকল নারী কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীকে শুভেচ্ছা জানান এবং ইজিবি তে নারীবান্ধব কর্মপরিবেশ নিশ্চিত করার ব্যাপারে অঙ্গীকার ব্যাক্ত করেন।
