𝐁𝐄𝐏𝐙𝐀 𝐄𝐙 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠!

Ecolet (Pvt.) Limited is set to invest US$15.91 million at BEPZA Economic Zone-1 to establish a facility for manufacturing electrical and electronic products. The company will produce 6 million LED bulbs, lamps and decorative lights annually for export to major international markets, including the USA, UK, European Union and the Middle East. The project is expected to create employment opportunities for 306 Bangladeshi nationals.
The investment marks another step in BEPZA’s efforts to diversify Bangladesh’s export basket by promoting high-value, technology-oriented and non-RMG manufacturing industries.

BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain, ndc, afwc, psc, G, MPhil visited Ishwardi EPZ as part of his regular field visits to review ongoing activities and support effective and dynamic management across BEPZA-run zones.

During the visit, he planted a tree, released fish fry into the EPZ pond, and inaugurated a newly constructed children’s park aimed at enhancing recreational facilities for residents of the EPZ Residential Area. He also inspected the proposed site for the Central ETP and exchanged views with the officers and employees of the zone.

The Executive Chairman also visited Rahimafrooz Globatt Limited, where he observed the company’s operations and production processes.

২০০৭ সালের আগস্ট। ভিয়েতনামে ব্যবসা স্থাপনের সম্ভাবনা যাচাই করতে যাচ্ছিলেন ইউক্রেনের এক বাবা ও ছেলে। বাংলাদেশ ছিল তাদের জন্য কেবলই একটি স্বল্প সময়ের যাত্রাবিরতি।
কিন্তু ঢাকার একটি হোটেলে থাকা অবস্থায় ছেলের হাতে আসে Yellow Pages যেখানে চোখে পড়ে BEPZA-এর একটি বিজ্ঞাপন। এরপর BEPZA-তে এসে কর্মকর্তাদের সহযোগিতা ও বাংলাদেশের সম্ভাবনা সম্পর্কে জানতে পেরে তারা বদলে ফেলেন তাদের পরিকল্পনা—ভিয়েতনাম নয়, বাংলাদেশেই শুরু করেন ব্যবসা।
সেই আকস্মিক সিদ্ধান্ত থেকেই Adamjee EPZ-এ জন্ম নেয় Super Protective Shoes (Pvt) Ltd. আজ প্রতিষ্ঠানটি বিশ্ববাজারে সামরিক বুট, সেফটি শু ও বিশেষায়িত জুতা রপ্তানি করে বছরে প্রায় ২৫ মিলিয়ন মার্কিন ডলারের পণ্য।

BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain, ndc, afwc, psc, G, MPhil visited BEPZA Economic Zone-1 & 2 today as part of his regular field visits to review ongoing development activities and ensure effective management of the zone.
During the visit, the Executive Chairman inaugurated the newly constructed Fire Station Building, Investors’ Club Building, and 33/11 kV GIS Substation (2×16/20 MVA) established to enhance services and facilities for investors.
He also visited the Chinese owned KPST Shoes (BD) Co., Ltd. and the project site of Park Handbag, a South Korean-owned company currently setting up a bag, luggage and backpack manufacturing facility in the zone.
The Executive Chairman inspected the progress of excavation work of Daborkhali canal, planted a tree on the Zone office premises, and exchanged views with the officers and employees of BEPZA Economic Zone-1 & 2.
The Executive Chairman subsequently visited Karnaphuli EPZ, where he held a meeting with the officers and employees; discussed on the operational matters, challenges, future development plans and provided necessary guidance and instructions on various operational and administrative matters. He also planted a tree sapling in front of the KEPZ Zone office, reaffirming BEPZA’s continued commitment to maintaining a green, sustainable, and investor-friendly industrial environment.
