What happens when colleagues across levels spend a full day diving into AI literacy?

Pure energy and aha moments.

On Sep 13, I facilitated an AI literacy session for the wonderful team at the BRAC Learning Division. Laptops open, questions flying, and real curiosity about how AI can support training both in the field and at the head office.

I’m deeply grateful for the warm appreciation I received for my facilitation approach. Moments like these remind me why I love designing and delivering learning experiences that feel practical, engaging, and human.

বিগত কয়েক সপ্তাহ ধরে খানিটা পড়াশোনা করছিলাম, Instructional Design ও ক্রিয়েটিভ থিঙ্কিং নিয়ে। পড়াশোনার যে বৈজ্ঞানিক তত্ত্বে চোখটা পৈশাচিক আনন্দ নিয়ে আটকে যায়, সেটা হল B's of Creativity.

মোটাদাগে বলতে গেলে মানুষ ৩ টা Bতে সবথেকে ক্রিয়েটিভ অবস্থায় থাকে।

প্রথম B হল Bed, লাইক আমরা ঘুমন্ত অবস্থার ঠিক আগমুহূর্তে মারাত্মক সৃজনশীল অবস্থায় থাকি।
দ্বিতীয় B হল Bus, এখানে মূলত ভ্রমণরত অবস্থাকে ইঙ্গিত করা হচ্ছে।
এবং ফাইনালি, তৃতীয় B হল Bath, মানুষ গোসল করা অবস্থায় ভয়ানক লেভেলের ক্রিয়েটিভ থাকে।

অতঃপর ভাবছি, সারাজীবন প্রচণ্ড ঘুম আর সময় নিয়ে গোসল করার জন্য যত কথা শুনলাম, তারা কি পারবে আমার সৃজনশীলতা ফিরিয়ে দিতে।

Moral of Story: Enjoy your Sleep & Feel your Bath.

Creativity isn’t just a talent; it’s a skill you can train.

I’m happy to share that I’ve successfully completed the course “Creative Thinking: Techniques and Tools for Success,” authorized by Imperial College London and offered through Coursera.

This journey helped me explore powerful tools like Brainstorming Techniques, Morphological Analysis, TRIZ, SCAMPER, Design Thinking, and the Creative Problem-Solving process. More importantly, it reminded me that creativity is not just about generating ideas; it’s about selecting the right ones, refining them, and turning them into real value.

A heartfelt thank you to Professor Peter Childs and the Imperial College London team for designing such a practical and insightful course. Grateful to Coursera for making high-quality learning accessible.

Excited to apply these creative tools in my work and continue growing.

I’m blessed to share that I have successfully completed the Instructional Design Foundations and Applications course from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign on Coursera.

This course has strengthened my understanding of core instructional design principles, learning theories, needs assessment, learner analysis, and the systematic design of effective learning experiences. It has been a valuable step in building a solid foundation in the field.

This is a small step toward continuous learning and growth, and I look forward to applying these insights while further developing my skills in instructional design, learning theories, modern pedagogical tools, and techniques.

Thank you to the instructors and Coursera for this enriching learning experience. Highly recommended for those who are in the relevant field of education and training.

107 lives lost. A 90-second delay. A lesson the world never forgot.

On April 25, 2005, a JR West commuter train in Amagasaki, Japan, was running approximately 90 seconds behind schedule.

While attempting to recover lost time, the driver entered a curve at excessive speed. The train derailed and crashed into an apartment building, killing 107 people and injuring more than 500 others.

Investigations found that the tragedy was not caused by a single mistake alone. They highlighted issues including excessive pressure on drivers, a strict culture of punctuality, and safety management failures within the railway system.

The disaster became a turning point for railway safety in Japan, leading to major reforms in training, risk management, and organizational culture.

A powerful reminder

Precision matters. But when performance pressure overwhelms safety, even seconds can become a matter of life and death.

I created my personal R3 Rule to make my weekends more intentional:

R for Relax – to truly recharge
R for Revise – to gently review and grow
R for Reflect – to learn from the past week and set clear intentions for the next

No more wasted weekends or overwhelming productivity guilt. Just a simple, peaceful rhythm that nourishes both my mind and soul.

Most battles are lost before the first shot is even fired.

While most people rush into action fueled by impulse and urgency, the greatest leaders and strategists have already secured victory long before the chaos begins.

This line captures that powerful truth. The golden hand deliberately moving the chess piece represents the calm, calculated mindset of those who master the board instead of reacting to it. Every great outcome in business, leadership, career, or life is built on invisible work: deep thinking, scenario planning, risk assessment, and quiet preparation that others rarely see.

In today’s fast-paced world that celebrates hustle, instant action, and visible effort, we often forget that strategy is the ultimate unfair advantage. The difference between average and exceptional results usually comes down to one thing: how well you prepared when no one was watching.
True power lies in foresight. In building systems. In thinking several moves ahead. In doing the hard mental work during peacetime, you’re unstoppable when the pressure hits.

From heartfelt gratitude to roaring applause, we celebrated excellence like never before!

On April 30, 2026, Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) & BYLC Graduate Network (BGN) proudly hosted the Volunteer Recognition & National Board Farewell 2026, a heartfelt celebration of dedication, impact, and leadership!

We came together to honor the incredible contributions of our amazing volunteers and bid a warm farewell to our outgoing National Board. The energy in the room was electric as we reflected on a year filled with passion, growth, and meaningful service to the community.
A huge thank you to our esteemed BYLC Management Committee Members, Founder & Executive Chairperson, Ejaj Ahmad Bhai, and Executive Director, Tahsinah Ahmed Apa for joining us on this special day. The program was packed with gratitude, inspiration, and powerful capacity-building sessions on the Flame Framework, Memory Lane, and FGD, leaving everyone motivated and re-energized!

We were thrilled to hand over Recognition Certificates to all our dedicated volunteers and proudly presented the Volunteer Excellence Performance Awards to 6 outstanding volunteers who went above and beyond!
