France Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFB) was formed in 1996. It was first gathered in Dhaka. Today it has more than 170 companies. CCIFB provides services to French and Bangladeshi companies. From 2013, the CCIFB is also the privileged representative of Business France, the French agency for export, based in French Embassy in India.
CCIFB is also a member of CCI International, the apex body of Franco foreign Chambers of Commerce.
CCIFB is a member of FBCCI, the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industries.
CCIFB is a member if EU Business Council. CCIFB is a part of Joint Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh.

Our members comprise of French companies operating in Bangladesh and Bangladeshi companies representing French companies as agents, distributors and sectors.
They are from various sectors such as textile / Garments, pharmaceutical, food, electrical goods, Energy, aeronautics, automobile, IT and many more.
Our Aim:
Our main aim is to enhance trade relation between the two countries: France and Bangladesh.
We facilitate and support companies to develop trade and investment and provide access to prospective partners and information to achieve their goal.

Introduction for the 2016-18 directory of CCIFB
Few weeks after my arrival in Dhaka, it is a privilege to introduce the website of the CCIFB which has been contributing, over the years, to the strengthening of our bilateral relationship in the economic field, and beyond. This Chamber acts for a better understanding between our two business communities and provide opportunities for members to meet for business and social networking. With the signing of an agreement with Business France, the CCIFB will now be able to promote, at a larger scale, the development of French Trade, commerce and investment in Bangladesh.
Together with Business France, the French Development Agency and Proparco, we will continue to work as a team. Complementary and coherent actions among ourselves is our mutual interest and a key to our success. Along with the active participation of all aforementioned partners, the Economic Service will play a central role in order to elaborate a common action plan on annual basis. It is my duty to ensure constructive collaboration among the different stakeholders.
Contributing to the removal of tariff and non-tariff barriers, at a bilateral or multilateral level, will continue to be at the heart of my mission. On the topic of Intellectual Property Rights, the objective will be to establish a long lasting partnership with the French Institute of Intellectual Property(INPI), geographical indications being one of the main issue.
Numerous are the infrastructure projects in Bangladesh! Since they are mostly public, it is important to be on the side of our companies and their local agents/representatives, big groups and SME alike, to promote their know-how and experiences at the highest level. With the strong back up of our Ambassador, the Economic Service will always be available to defend your interests.
Attracting Bangladeshi investors in France will be another objectives. Some of the local groups have reached the critical size to enter the European market by setting up a plant or through a merger with one of their suppliers.
I am looking forward to establishing a long lasting relationship with each of you and to contribute to the promotion of our mutual interests. I trust I can count on the strong support of your President and his team to go a step forward.
