নাইজেরিয়ান তেল কোম্পানীর মালিক ধনাঢ্য ব্যবসায়ী ফেমি ওতেদোলা একবার এক রেডিও ইন্টারভিউতে তার জীবনের অজানা অনেক কিছু জানাচ্ছিলেন। কথোপকথনের এক পর্যায়ে উপস্থাপক তাঁকে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, ‘আপনার কি এমন কোনো স্মৃতি আছে, যখন আপনার মনে হয়েছিল আপনি এই পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে সুখী মানুষ?’ ওতেদোলা বললেন, "আমার জীবনে আমি সুখের খোঁজে চারটি পর্যায়ের মধ্য দিয়ে গিয়েছি। তারপর অবশেষে আমি সত্যিকারের সুখের খোঁজ পেয়েছি। প্রথম পর্যায় ছিল যত পারা যায় ধনসম্পদ উপার্জন। কিন্তু সবকিছু অর্জন করেও আমি সুখের দেখা পাইনি। এরপর দ্বিতীয় পর্যায় ছিল দামি ও বিলাসবহুল জিনিসপত্র কেনা। আমার কাছে মনে হতো এর মাধ্যমে আমি সুখ পাব। কিন্তু এবারও আমি সুখের দেখা পেলাম না। এরপর তৃতীয় পর্যায়ে বড় বড় প্রজেক্ট নিজের করে নেয়া শুরু করলাম। একটা সময় নাইজেরিয়া ও আফ্রিকার ৯৫% ডিজেলের সাপ্লাইয়ার ছিলাম আমি। আফ্রিকা ও এশিয়ায় সবচেয়ে বড় জাহাজ ছিল আমার। কিন্তু এরপরও আমি সুখ পেলাম না। এই অবস্থায় একদিন আমার এক বন্ধু অনুরোধ করল ২০০ প্রতিবন্ধী বাচ্চার জন্য হুইলচেয়ার কিনে দিতে। বন্ধুর অনুরোধে আমি তখনই ২০০ হুইলচেয়ার কিনে ফেললাম। কিন্তু আমার বন্ধু বলল আমি নিজেই যেন বাচ্চাদের হাতে হুইলচেয়ারগুলো তুলে দিই। তাই বন্ধুর সাথে আমি সভাস্থলে উপস্থিত হলাম। আমি গিয়ে বাচ্চাদের হাতে হুইলচেয়ার তুলে দিলাম। হুইলচেয়ার পেয়ে তারা আনন্দের সাথে এখানে ওখানে ছুটাছুটি করতে লাগল। একেকজনের মুখে সে কি অপার্থিব হাসি। যেন এর চেয়ে আনন্দের দিন তাদের জীবনে আর আসেনি। এসব দেখে নিজের মধ্যে কেমন এক আনন্দ অনুভূত হলো। মনে হলো জীবনে আগের চারটি পর্যায় পার হয়েও, সবকিছু পেয়েও , এতটা আনন্দ কখনও হয়নি। এরপর যখন আমি অনুষ্ঠান থেকে বিদায় নিতে যাব হঠাৎ এক বাচ্চা আমার পা জড়িয়ে ধরল

Prospect of Tourism in Bangladesh
Bangladesh is full of natural beauty. Rivers, coasts and beaches, archaeological sites, religious places, hills, forests, waterfalls, tea gardens surround it. The Sundarban, Historic Mosque in city of Bagerhat, Ruins of the Buddihist Vihara at Paharpur are the three world heritage sites in Bangladesh among 1007. To observe the beauty of nature, huge amount of domestic and foreign tourists visit the country and its tourist attraction sites. In 2012, around six-lakh (6 hundred thousand) tourists came Bangladesh to visit and enjoy its beauty. The total contribution of tourism to GDP was 4.4%, 3.8% to employment and 1.5% to investment in 2013. Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) looks after the tourism sector in Bangladesh under the ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. Due to some limitations, Bangladesh has failed to introduce itself as a tourist destination country. The paper tries to focus on the attractive tourist spots of Bangladesh and the contribution of tourism in the Bangladesh economy. The major concern of the writer is to highlight the factors by which Bangladesh can be one of the major tourist attractive country in the world in near future.
