Meet Rabeya Yeasmin Neela. As a mother of a child with special needs, she became a social worker to provide learning and employment opportunities for children and young adults with physical disabilities.
Thousands of children with cerebral palsy or other muscle related disabilities spend their days hidden from view. They cannot attend school, they do not get the possibility to play with friends or to develop themselves. Ability center is committed to remove barriers for people with disabilities and give them equal opportunities in society.
They focus on care and support for every child, for every disability, for every parent while also offering healthcare professionals opportunities and (local) governments an opportunity to improve care.
At ygap, we back local changemakers like Rabeya, who are using the power of entrepreneurship to solve problems for their fellow Bangladeshis living in poverty and disadvantage. In the past two years, our 60+ entrepreneurs helped improve the lives of 125,000 people through access to healthcare, education, infrastructure and employment.
This October, ygap hosted yher, the first-ever accelerator for female-led ventures in Bangladesh.
