At the invitation of President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili, President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović and his spouse Sanja Musić Milanović have paid an official visit to Georgia. During the first day of the visit, President Milanović met with Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and the Chairperson of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili.

As a part of the President’s official visit to Georgia, a meeting of Croatian and Georgian businesspeople is also planned. Representatives of more than 20 companies and institutions are expected to attend the meeting of businesspeople, which shows there is room and interest in developing economic cooperation between the two states.

Frano Matušić, State Secretary for Political Affairs, held political consultations with George Zurabashvili, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, on 25 November 2025. During the talks, a wide range of bilateral issues were discussed, and both sides expressed their readiness to further deepen cooperation, with a focus on sectoral cooperation in the areas of trade, tourism, pharmaceuticals and energy.

Aspects of Georgia's relations with the European Union were also discussed. The Croatian side emphasized its consistent support for Georgia's European path and expressed its readiness to continue to provide support to the reform process in Georgia, including by sharing its own experiences from the accession process. Global issues, including the Russian aggression against Ukraine, the situation in Southeast Europe, the Black Sea region, and the Middle East, were also discussed.

We congratulate Azerbaijan on the 30th anniversary of adoption of its Constitution!
On behalf of the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Head of the Foreign Policy Committee Mr. Andro Krstulović Opara participated in the International Parliamentary Conference that Azerbaijan successfully hosted on this occasion.

It was a good opportunity to meet his counterpart Mr. Samad Seyidov, as well as the Chair of Inter-parliamentary Working Group Ms. Konul Nurullayeva.
