Thank you everyone for another hugely successful school Art Show. It was fantastic to see so many families there enjoying their children's amazing art work and highlighting how talented our students are.Well done to Mrs Bucklar for all her hard work and to all the staff for helping make this event do successful. Today Yorkeys K**b State School competed at Fast 5 soccer Championships. Huge congratulations to our Grade 5 boys who walked away with the Championships. Massive shout out to our superstar goal keeper and youngest player Lennox who won MVP. Also a huge shout out to our girls team who won 9 games straight and then unfortunately lost the grand final 1 nil. Our Grade 6 boys came a very impressive third and worked so hard all.day. Hold your heads high Yorkeys, we might be a small school but we are here to be seen and heard. You have done us all proud!! Thank you Smithfield State High School Tropical North Learning Academy for hosting.

There's only a short time left to buy tickets in our Art Show raffle! We’re giving one lucky winner the chance to take home this stunning original charcoal artwork by our very own Year 5A teacher, Kutz Ali. Measuring 1m x 65cm, this beautiful piece captures one of FNQ’s iconic native birds in incredible detail.

Tickets are just $5 each or 5 for $20, with all proceeds going towards supporting our school.

Tickets can be purchased online by scanning the QR code or using the link below. Online ticket sales close at 12pm Wednesday 16 September, with the raffle drawn at 6.30pm at our Art Show Auction that evening.

Every ticket is a chance to win a truly special piece of local art while supporting our school. We’d love your support!

We have COCO SUSHI Gordonvale Restaurant Whatever food truck by Cater2u_fnq and KRAZY KONES EYE Scream plus the P and C BBQ to keep everyone well fed.

The Grade 4 students are back from camp and wow did they have the best time ever. They swam, rolled in mud, attacked the obstacle courses, learnt valuable history, baked damper, made beds, throw boomerangs and so much more. Camps are such an important part of a child's education to develop a well rounded child. Their behaviour was outstanding. Huge thanks to the parent helpers and teachers who made this possible. We will post more photos over the weekend.
