Yinnar Fire Brigade was founded in 1944
There are 35+ Members in the Brigade
We have Operational and Non-Operational Members
Operational Members complete General Firefighter Training and further their training and skills in a range of speciality areas
Operational and Non-Operation Members support the Brigade in roles such as Fundraising, Administration, Community Engagement and Education

The Fire Danger Period commenced at 1:00am today, Monday 27th October in Latrobe City Council.

🚫🔥Burning off is NOT permitted without a written permit.

The Fire Danger Period will begin 1.00am Monday 27 October 2025 for the following municipalities:
Mildura Rural City Council
Baw Baw Shire Council
South Gippsland Shire Council
Wellington Shire Council
East Gippsland Shire Council
Latrobe City Council

These restrictions mark the official start of Victoria's fire season. Make sure you know what you can and can't do during the Fire Danger Period.

🚨Attention land owners 🚨

Burning Off in todays conditions is strongly not advisable.

Please: If you have recently had a burn off (even weeks ago) please check them and monitor them for any flare ups.

The local landscape is still dry in areas and these conditions have caused multiple out of control burn off’s in the area today.

Even though Fire Restrictions are not in force please register your burn, follow the guidelines, consider weather conditions & be responsible for your burn.
